Her shower had two settings; hot and cold. She suddenly felt stupid as she forced a weak little smile, her face suddenly on fire. As he tapped her nose, she blinked suddenly. She didn't feel sad that she had to go home now. In fact, she felt relieved. At least when she was at home, she could lock herself in her bedroom and beat herself up and no one would ever know. It must be about nine in the morning now so both of her parents were at work. Or she could drown herself in the swimming pool. Or cry.
Okay so Logeun was smarter than her, he was richer than she was and yeah, she was allowed to feel inadequate. She needed a drink. She hadn't really eaten anything despite him offering, twice. Toast and gin? Breakfast of champions.
Shifting awkwardly, she simply laughed. "Silly me," she said breezily, trying to swallow her obvious shortcomings. The voice in the back of her head didn't really help, either. You are SUCH a fucking moron! It said to her, positively dancing with glee as she swallowed. He's going to college, you know. Ivy League. He's going to find a girl there, too. So smart, so pretty, top of her class, well travelled, fluent in French and do you know what he'll refer to you as if he's not already forgotten you? She didn't want to know. His stupid ex-girlfriend. Yeah, that's right. Stupid. Ex. Girlfriend. She had to get out this house.
The air outside did little to calm her but she breathed deeply, inhaling quickly, almost like she was having a panic attack. Her body shook as her chest rose and fell thinly but she played it cool. Did he have a jasmine tree? She could smell jasmine somewhere on the breeze.
His car, of course. "Of course," Kate said slowly trailing after him like she was making her way to the gallows. It was a shame Logeun had no idea how she was feeling. Boys were dense. He needed to just pick her up and hug her, embrace the fact that she was slow on the uptake but love her all the same. He'd opened the door for her but she'd stopped. Dead. She was right, a big gleaming beast of a car and her jaw had dropped open. "That is such a sexy car," she blurted out without thinking it through.
When Logeun got in and closed the driver side door, Kate took a half-step forward before hesitating. She pressed her fingertips to the shining paint work gingerly. It was only a car. A mass of metal and mechanics, it wasn't going to bite or anything. Taking a second, she slid in, the seats moulding to her back perfectly. Oooh this felt good. Real good. Her eyes dropped to the GPS and she hesitated again. After the shower debacle, she was determined to prove that she wasn't a dumb blonde. She extended a pale index finger, flicking through the options . She selected "Ocean City" from the swanky drop down menu before keying in her zip code and pressing "OK", praying it worked and it had. The Copperman's driveway showed up with a big green arrow that told him to crawl forward.
She felt so wholly inferior, she actually wanted to die. Maybe he could hit her with the Rolls Royce? No wait, that would dent the fender. Balls.
"Woah," she said as she neatly fastened her seatbelt, throwing a backwards glance at Betty. Logeun would have to move her. If his parents were so picky about having people over then wouldn't they freak to see an unfamiliar car parked? She supposed she could lie and say she came by to pick up one of his textbooks and she had totally not nailed their son in his bed upstairs.
"That…is really cool," she said, sounding amazed. And she was. His house was great, his car was great, his watch was great but that wasn't why she liked him so much. She truly hoped he wouldn't be showing off all the time, she'd feel terribly uncomfortable. Much like she was now. Just then, her phone beeped. Diving into her hand bag to grab her iPhone, she flipped it over.
Hi honey! the text message read. Hope you had fun last night. Your dad and I left you some breakfast. We've got a function at dad's work tonight so we'll be home to change but then we're going back out again. Love you x
Kate sighed deeply, shoulders relaxing as she texted her mother back. "Just my mum," she explained in case he was wondering who it was. "I've got the house to myself." Thank God. A lazy night by the pool, drinking wine and eating take out (she was planning on ordering pizza, Chinese, Indian and stopping off at McDonalds) was just what she needed. Dropping her phone back into her handbag, she looked out of the window before she wound it down. The warm breeze caught her damp curls and lifted it, drying them out as she smiled. She dropped her arm out of the window, lifting it, letting the wind push it back.
"Sorry I'm so quiet," Kate said as she looked over at Logeun with another smile, her fingers reaching out to stroke the glove box. She kicked off her shoes, her long legs stretching as they crossed at the ankle so she could place them up and onto the dashboard, the wind blowing at her curls nonchalantly. "I have a habit of psyching myself out. But your car is awesome, really," she said with a kind smile. "You haven't hurt my feelings," she said as she looked out of the window to watch the trees fly past. "I just…" here she paused. "I really wanted your parents to like me? And what you said kind of…made it seem like they'll never invite me over for dinner. It just hurt a little." wake me up, [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true]
.
logeun thought it was cute how she was a bit short sometimes, it would always keep him on her feet. he could always teach her new things about technology, maybe it just wasn't her thing, he would understand. but it was on his part that he was showing off quite a bit. He needed to stop, now.
but he thought of his future for a moment, going off to MIT, would their relationship hold through that? he hoped it would, he would do anything to keep kate. he would call her everyday, heck he would send her snail mail, anything, call, email. he would stay in touch with her ever, single day.
she was the only thing that was keeping his life a blast, other than that, it was school, work, money job, career, life. and it was really annoying, he felt like a robot with all of that going on. sure he could handle it, but it was getting to be like shakespeare, to be or not to be. he was really just a moving machine with all that was going on, but with kate, she made him feel, alive...
she didnt seem like herself, it must have just been the morning, like literally, it was a bit early. he laughed nonetheless at her comment of the car. "not even close to how sexy you are." he said with a wink as he looked to her. she was still standing, was she scared, oh good girl. she sat down and started to fiddle with the GPS, and not before long, he was getting directions from the automated voice "you beat my mothers time, she always flips at my gps for 'not working." he said the last two words with air quotes.
his mother really hated his car, but she loved him so she dealt with it. his father picked the car, and logeun couldn't complain. if it was one thing, his father had awesome taste for cars and other manly things. it was the only thing from turning him into a mama's boy. he was actually split, he loved his parents both just as much. but one thing he loved more than anything, and it was sitting next to him, quietly letting her hair flow in the wind.
all she was doing was apologizing, and she didn't need to. he didn't know what she was thinking, but he didn't want to get some response in which would hurt the situation more, he just let her stay silent for a bit. but the phone ran and she grabbed it tensely. he looked to the gps, there was only a few miles left. but they were in the red light district of this area, so he'd be fine.
she told him it was her mother and he nodded "alright cool." he looked to her "you must be hungry, i can try and make my famous eggs?" he was no chef, but his father taught him a family secret, the coppereggs. passed down from all the way since the beginning of his family, starting as immigrants from ireland. but that was beside the point.
but she came out of a small shell he had, and just spilled it out. he nodded along, listening and building a response. "they are just nervous, just like you are, trust me, ill convince them to invite you soon, dont worry." his parents could act like children sometimes, and he would have to act like the adult, it was just ridiculous...
the gps spoke again, telling him to turn onto her street, and he rolled down it slowly. the houses were nice, nothing like his, which was a godsend, he was getting sick of them. but whatever neighbors were outside, they began to stare at the menacing Rolls Royce rolling down the street.

When he called her sexy, she swiftly turned pink. Was he allowed to call her that? Regardless, she just offered a big goofy grin before remembering her manners and coyly looking to the floor. Feeling her face burn, her pale hands came up to her cheeks to try and cool them down. She'd never been called sexy before, she didn't think she was. She was pretty but she didn't have that elusive allure that the popular girls had with their expensive clothes and beautiful faces. Kate was…well Kate was awkward.
"Yeah?" The blonde said with a chuckle as she stroked the sensitive screen. She pushed a button that programmed in the address she'd just entered. It was unlikely that Logeun would just drop by, he seemed very much to be a call-ahead-and-confirm kind of guy. As she slept last night, she entertained a dream of him pulling up to her house, running across the grounds and throwing stones at her bedroom window. Why would he when he could just call her if he wanted to talk to her? Sue her, she was a romantic.
Was she hungry? She hadn't really thought about it. She was going to say she wasn't but then her body betrayed her and gave a loud rumble, causing her to wrap her arms around her slender stomach and laugh. Awkward. "Maybe a little," she said softly. "You have famous eggs?" Kate asked, eyes wide. He was such a surprise! With a grin, she nodded eagerly. Well he had said that he owed her breakfast and she had thought that it might be another day but since he was going through all of the trouble of driving her home, the least she could do was offer him a cup of coffee or something.
She sighed as she looked out of the window, her big green eyes focused on watching a small little bird flap its wings and twirl gracefully through the big blue sky. It must be glorious to just get away. "You shouldn't have to convince them," she said with a smile as she looked over at him. "It's fine," she said and she did feel fine. If her parents didn't like her, so what? She was dating their son and she wasn't going to stop. Yeah she'd be disappointed but even her parents didn't want to spend every waking minute with Logeun. They loved him, sure but it worried Kate that she hadn't gotten an inkling off either of his parents.
Once they turned into her street, she was sad that the ride was over so soon but kind of happy that they lived closer than she originally thought. She could cycle over to his house to pick up Betty later, so yay!
The neighbours were staring. The neighbours always stared. Kate's neighbourhood was a quiet one; everyone knew each other and it was gated. The neighbourhood was near a large lake, very green and serene and Kate loved it. Large houses, big gardens, long and winding drive ways. It was kind of like you were right in the middle of nowhere, it was a fascinating set up. As Logeun drove, her home loomed into view. Once the car stopped, she unbuckled her seatbelt and slid her shoes back on, opening the door to step out.
"Hi Mr. Matthews!" Kate called out cheerily, lifting a hand and waving enthusiastically to an elderly gentleman who was holding a pair of garden shears and wearing a less than enthused expression on his wrinkly face. The old man simply grunted to her greeting before turning back to the rose bush that he'd been so intently pruning. She and Mr. Matthews went way back. As a kid, Kate had been…well, a bit of a Hellraiser. Always loud, always energetic, always accidentally breaking stuff. She'd been out walking her rabbit Bubbles (don't ask, it was a massive rabbit that was often mistaken for a dog) and she'd wandered past Mr. Matthews' house.
Bubbles had taken a doo-doo on his driveway and before Kate could clean it up, he'd trodden in it. Then that night, Bubbles had escape and hopped over the road to his house where he'd proceeded to chew his much loved grass and he'd eaten most of his roses. Ah c'est la vie, she had only been seven years old.
Giggling to herself, she leant through the open window to Logeun who was still seated behind the steering wheel. "Soooo," she said with a smile. "Do you, um, want to come in?" wake me up, [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true]
.
When he called her sexy, she turned into a turnip with her cheeks. he wondered why, she really was attractive, in more ways than one. and with her turning that cute turnip color he smiled, knowing that he fell deeper in love with her, knowing that she was a bit insecure with herself, so every comment like that would surprise her, but also give her some esteem. but he was sure she had alot of it, but you can always have more.
He nodded to the notion of her being better at his GPS then his mother. his mother would poke the screen at first, and then she'd get flustered and start wailing, it was like a kid not getting her candy. his father would be in the back seat calming her as logeun would be filling the missing holes in his mothers mistakes. his family was something else, something for the books or a story, it was ridiculous how rich people acted off the cover of public.
He smiled to her, she needed to taste them, she'd keel over in happiness, after all, she loved good food. although he was no chef, or not planning to be one, he was a man of many talents, or how most people just buffer his skills, calling him a 'fast learner'. he couldn't help it, he was always top of his class, had learned ambidexteria within a year. he knew how to fence, as he used to as a little kid, but he never really told anyone, he was planning to show kate soon. after all, how would she think he got these arms, working out? pssh, the only gym work he did was running, all his upper body was either swimming or fencing.
When she told him not to worry, it only made him worry more. his parents sucked at communication, but they were skilled in the fields of business and money. they were always on the money in stocks, as well as they were the highest paid in the company, always. after all, his father was the top brain surgeon of the region, he was runner up for national, but he had declined the title, as he was not a man of titles, he let his actions do the talking. and they spoke, 98% success rate in all his surgeries. like logeun thought, his family, was completely bonkers sometimes, but when it came down to the wire, they were efficent.
He stopped at her house, and he gave a wolf whistle, to both the view of her lower body, and the house. it was impressive, big windows and with a slightly modern look to it. he liked it, and was hopefully about to see the inside of it. he heard her talking to somebody, but figured it was a neighbor or something.
But not before long, she was leaning against his side of the windows, and beckoning him to come in. like a sailor to a siren he smiled and nodded. "might as well, cant make breakfast outside." and he stepped outside, after she let him that is, and he gave a small nod and a smile to the neighbor, who had now realized the man in the car, but the man returned back to his work, mumbling angrily. he gave a same laugh and made his way to her front door.

She felt better now.
She didn't know why she'd indulged in that strange, unnerving, totally un-Kate-like side of herself. Logeun didn't deserve that. He was honest and he was true and he adored her. It was so clear that even she could see that she'd landed the perfect young gentleman. And he wasn't a boy, he was a gentleman. The boys here were spoilt and they were stupid, interested purely in sex and bragging rights but Logeun? Nah. Kate could just lie in bed with him and not do anything, just talking, cuddling, making future plans. He respected her and she wasn't used to it.
That was it. No more mental Kate.
Her big green eyes looked over to the wheel, watching his hands gripping it and kind of wishing it was her. She wasn't gonna lie, she was warm for Logeun's form. Falling silent, she absently chewed on her lower lip. Flashes of last night passed her mind's eye. It was a new experience for them both, she'd never taken someone's virginity before and she secretly wondered if she'd somehow disappointed him. They'd always share this bond now and if she was given the chance to change losing hers, she would. He was driving her home so that must have meant that he was still interested in continuing their relationship on some level.
The whistle made her laugh. Had she really, truly impressed him? Logeun Copperman had everything anyone could ever want, he owned everything he'd ever need and her little old house surprised him? Well hot dang.
"Oh my God, stop," Kate said as she turned pink again, flapping her arms around comedically as he whistled to her, too. Honestly? She loved it. Every girl wanted to be told they were beautiful but occasionally, it was so awesome to be told that she was sexy, to be looked at in a wholly inappropriate way in front of her neighbours. In fact, she'd be totally cool if he lifted her up to sit on the front of his car, got in between her legs and snogged her face off. Early days, though. Maybe in a few months if his confidence built up.
When Logeun waved to Mr. Matthews, she dissolved in a fit of the giggles. Her bad mood felt like a million years ago now and the real Kate was back. She was so in love, the giggles came naturally and the look on the older man's face was just too much for her to take.
With a shake of her still damp hair, she took his hand as she pulled him up the path. She rooted in her hand bag to extract her keys, sliding them into the door to click and unlock the door, throwing it open to reveal the interior. Her parents designed it. Her dad mostly. His best friend from high school had studied to be an architect and he, John, had been Kate's best man for his wedding. "Come in, come in," she gushed, grabbing his waist and tugging him inside to drop her stuff, hanging her blazer up. She loved her house, it was like her parents had designed it with her in mind even before she'd been born. Big floor to ceiling windows, pale wood, modern and unique.
Her shoes were off as she soon as she'd gotten inside. Shoes. She hated to wear them, she much preferred to feel the ground beneath her bare feet, it just felt more…normal. Bizarrely. "Can I get you anything?" Kate asked with a bright smile as she turned to face him, her long legs backing up and through the long hall. She felt better now that she was home and on her own turf. Not that it was a war or anything but this was just familiar. Safe. Comforting. Just like Logeun was.
She hoped he liked her house. It was drastically different from his. His old brick, very impressive and palatial and gorgeous and hers was staggered over more levels, more glass, more greenery. She danced her way into the kitchen, slender arms above her head like she didn't have a care in the world, looking very much like a woodland fairy. It wasn't that she was happy to be home and away from his house, she was just happy to spend more time with him. She'd thought that was it for the day.
Kate flashed him a dazzling smile that made her eyes sparkle. Logeun needed to know quickly that Kate Harrison was very much a morning person. Up often before the sun rose, she didn't waste a minute in the day. "What do you need for your eggs?" She asked, intrigued to know if he required any special pots, pants or ingredients. She should have everything he needed in, even some more unusual things. Her parents were big fans of Oriental, Middle Eastern and exotic foods. She was sure they had mangosteens in the fridge. wake me up, [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true]
.
Logeun looked to her with a contempt smile as she looked at him, her eyes drifted and he knew what that meant. he kept smiling though, knowing that she was thinking about something. he sure was, about last night. it was a night he would never forget, or wanted to rather. he knew she wasn't a virgin, and that other guys had been with her, but he didn't care, that was the past, and that was behind them now, what mattered is that they were together now.
and when she flapped her arms like a bird like that, it reminded him of her trying to grab something, settling on the bed frame. oh joy. but he grinned "What?" he laughed "Something I said?" he chuckled to himself, he was only stating the truth, and besides her, the house was his style, all modern and stuff, his mother liked the old look, his father played along, yet they had a house with the technology to confuse a smart gal like kate, wierd.
He got out of his car, smiling and waving to the grumbling gentleman. the result was a scold, and a giggling kate. she looked like a school girl finding out her crush liked her back. he could only let her lead him in.
She tugged him inside, and he followed of course, he couldn't fight it anyway. he admired the place, it was really cool, and her parents were awesome, figures. following suit in her taking off her shoes, but he only had a t-shirt on, so he could use that as a blazer, he was sure she would like him shirtless around the house, but he had manners. he shook himself out of thought as she asked a question, hmm, "just some water will do, thank you."
and he followed her "i like the house, its unique, alot better than my place." he said with embarrassment at the last phrase, he would so move in with kate, his house was too big, some of the other royal's wanted his place to throw a party due to his parents being gone, 5 thousand square feet of mayhem, no thank you, save that for project x.
with her turning to him with that dazzling smile and sparkling eyes, they were begging him to act up on it and pin her against the fridge. no, that would be a bit crazy, it had only been one day, and he was already thinking about this. jeez, calm down logeun. he figured she was a morning bird, which was not him at all, he could be occasionally, but only sometimes. now the ingredients. "eggs of course, some pepper, cheese, and some basil if you have." he looked at her pans and found one he liked, turning on the heat, watching it burst up in flames, and it accepted his pan as he plopped a few drops of olive oil on the edges, and canola oil in the middle, it might look insane, but it was really good.
words; 753 music; Fire Starter / Prodigy notes; xD ill tell logeun to come over one day, throw rocks at her window and snog her then! xD

Paul, her first proper boyfriend. Smart, charming, a swimmer, blonde, tall, any girl's fantasy. She'd been so utterly obsessed with him that she'd failed to see that Rosie, her now arch nemesis, was sleeping with him too. She thought she was in love with Paul when really, it was just a rather vicious crush. Would she take it back? In a heartbeat. Really, she and Logeun weren't so different. Neither really knew what they were doing but she did truly hope that she'd put his mind at ease a little. He'd done a bang up job regardless.
"You know what you said," Kate purred, her big green eyes narrowed playfully to rest on a borderline glare. He was her boyfriend. If he wanted to call her sexy then he could call her sexy. She'd get used to it, she already loved it but it was just a bit…weird. Was she sexy? She didn't think so. She was pretty, she was tall, her legs were long and her torso slim and she was sure she'd gone up a cup size this summer; she was a C cup now. So her tits were pretty great. She might as well enjoy it. Turning pink again, she offered a goofy grin.
Water?
Cool. Headed to the sink, she ran the cold water for a few seconds, leaning up on her tippy-toes to grab a glass and fill it to the top. She then headed to the fridge and placed it in the dent, pushing back against the flap in the big stainless steel fridge so that some ice dispensed. It was kinda funky. "Here you go," she said with a bright smile, pressing the glass into his hands, her smile widening as he complimented her home. "You should really be complimenting my Uncle Tom," she said with a chuckle. "He owns an architecture firm in London. One of my dad's college friends designed it for us, Uncle Tom's company helped build it." Didn't Logeun want to be an architect?
"Your house is beautiful," she said, trying to placate him. "This is just…different," she said. "Is this more your style?" Kate asked with a dimpled grin. If it was, they'd get on like a house on fire. It was serene here. The Harrisons weren't overlooked. The garden was large and got a lot of light, they had a swimming pool, lots of trees and flowers, big rooms. They even had a friendly ground hog that she'd named Marvin; he'd been a frequent visitor for years now and she often fed him cheesy Doritos as a little treat whenever she saw him. He even let her pet him.
She arched an eyebrow. "What?" She said with a laugh, wondering why he was looking at her and then to the fridge. Eggs? "Eggs," she set, giving the fridge door a big yank. The door was too heavy for her, her dad often fell about giggling as she struggled. She was too dainty for heavy lifting. "What kind of cheese?" She asked, confused. "We have…cheddar, Swiss, Monterey Jack, parmesan?" She asked, grabbing a few different types before depositing them next to Logeun. "Pepper, pepper, pepper," she said, darting about the big kitchen as she expertly opened the different cupboard doors. Grabbing the pepper mill, she set it down before hunting for basil.
The herbs were on the window sill. Grabbing some kitchen scissors, she neatly and delicately snipped the leaves before heading back to the stove. She noticed how…sexy he looked cooking. So focused, so strong, so confident. Oh God, the voice in the back of her head warned her. You're gonna jump on him, aren't you? Yup. A teeny bit, yeah. Coming up behind him, she wrapped her arms around him in a backwards hug, her chest pressed to his back as she squeezed gently.
Logeun Copperman, to her, just cried out to be held. He was so sweet and so cute and so nice, she feared it might become an obsession. It could easily happen. Kate was fairly naïve and rather impressionable on a good day and falling deeper and deeper in love with him as easy as pie. Boys like him were dangerous. A triple threat; smart, sexy and sensitive.
Giving him another affectionate squeeze, her touch lingering a little longer than was really necessary. She leant up and placed a kiss between his shoulders blades. Her lips didn't touch his skin and she was sure that he hadn't felt it. Patting his back, she stepped behind him to stand next to him. Placing the basil down, she raised a leaf to her mouth and chewed on it gently, nibbling really. She was clearly a bunny rabbit in a past life. "Can I help with anything?" She asked, watching the oil slide down the pan, feeling hungry. wake me up, [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true]
.
Logeun used this moment to try and connect himself to a past girlfriend, is only other one, about in freshmen year. her name was Jenny, and she never really thought of them dating. sure she was cute, long legs and tan, smart and just everything his little freshman year mind wanted. but she ended up leaving him, just for some other guy who was older than him, and they never really got past kissing. such a heartbreak, but he learned not to trust looks, but emotions and actions, and with kate, he learned that he loved her for it. sure she was pretty and again, all he ever wanted on a girl for him.
He smiled to her as said that he knew what he said. of course he did, he actually thought before he spoke, unlike some of his class mates. the thing he noticed about her, ever since last year, was a bigger bust. but as sick as it was to notice it, she became alot more attractive over the year, and it caused him to finally crack and ask her to the beach, in which he finally kissed her.
He watched her as she worked for his water, he couldn't help but notice how nimble she was on her feet. And when she gave him the ice cold water, he smiled to her "thanks sweet cheeks" he smiled and made his way around the place, "Uncle Tom huh... Architect?" he smiled, suddenly interested in her family. well not like he never liked her family, they were awesome, just the family he wanted, ones who actually cared for what he did, and asked how the day went and were interested in what he had to say. his dad was of course, awesome dad, but his mother was always just like, yeah whatever logeun, go do your homework. It was sad.
He shrugged to the mention of his house being beautiful, he could see how someone would like it, big ceilings, brickwork, but it looked like an 18th century whore house. at least he would think it did, and the first thing you'd expect it to have was wild parties. he would throw one, but that would be for graduation day, he promised himself that, but he of course would be staying next to kate all the time, yes sir.
As she went to work about grabbing the supplies, he was recollecting the recipe. he snapped alive as he was handed cheeses, and he took the Parmesan. He stood around, waiting for the pan to get hot as she rushed around for his ingredients, imagine them two on a cooking show, that would be a nice idea, "Cooking with the Copperman's" haha what joy.
He began his work, cracking the eggs as she clung to his back. The sizzling was then met by him sprinkling the grated cheese onto the eggs, and then the pepper, only on the yolk though, and he took a herb leave and placed it gently on the yolk as well. and when he felt it was ready, he poke the yolk to break. And when the liquid settled, he folded the egg twice over.
He then grabbed himself a plate and placed it on the kitchen. "You can help yourself, by enjoying Coppereggs! The best eggs in town!" he did his best to do a spokesperson voice as he turned off the stove.

To be honest, Logeun could call her whatever the Hell he wanted and she'd still melt. He could call her another girl's name and she was so utterly into him that she probably would have responded. Love. Ridiculous.
"Yeah," she said with a bright smile, tilting her heart to the left a little, surprised at his sudden interest in her family. Well that was a bit harsh, he seemed to like her parents and unbeknownst to him, they loved him. Properly did. Her mum had asked if she wanted Logeun over for dinner and of course, she said she would but not yet. He'd been so quiet and nervous when he first met him and she didn't want him to be a deer in the head lights again, poor guy. "You'd like him," she said with a smile. "You're actually a lot alike. He's a big physics nerd too," Kate said as she pulled tongues and playfully gave him a poke in the tummy.
The place smelt great, almost instantly.
She couldn't help but admire him as he worked. She was intrigued. For some reason, she didn't think of Logeun was a cook. It seemed daft because he was multitalented. He was super smart, a great kisser, a wonderful hugger. He fenced too, or so she'd heard. She'd never seen it but then again, she'd never been his girlfriend before. She wanted to see him, though. He'd be so elegant, fencing was an elegant sport and she'd be his biggest fan. Bit of an issue, she was sure screaming from the crowd was frowned upon. She zoned out momentarily.
Kate had a vision of Logeun all dressed in white, his long sword gleaming as he went toe to toe with some burly big man. A tense fight, unable to separate them on talent but he won. Of course he won and when he did, he looked directly at her. He forwent the traditions and ran up to her, kind of like Wimbledom and kissed her. Had he said something about eggs?
"Hm?" Kate asked, snapping out of it and looking at him with a confused smile. It was embarrassing. She often lost herself in thoughts but that was just her. She had the attention span of a toddler. With the eggs placed in front of her, she offered him a smile, toddling off to find cutlery. Cutting into the little cylinder, she popped it into her mouth and chewed slowly. She wasn't picky with her food and she didn't really have a favourite. She'd only live once so why not stuff herself full of fun new food?
"Ohmygawd," she said, rolling her eyes in pleasure as she chewed. "Logeun," she said as she looked at him, taking another mouthful as she nodded, politely covering her mouth with her hands as she chewed. "This is literally the best thing ever," she gushed and he knew it was true. Two things got her really excited; shiny things and good food. And this was bloody good food. Rudely, she demolished three quarters of the eggs he'd so kindly made for her without leaving him any. When she'd made him breakfast that morning, he'd been so sweet as to save her some but what had she gone? Practically inhaled everything.
Grabbing a cloth, she neatly dabbed at her plump lips. "I'm sorry," she said with a grin, flushing pink slightly. "But that was really, reeeeally good," she gushed, folding the cloth and stepping over the kitchen to him. "Thank you," she said as she kissed his cheek. She pulled back a little, ready to let him go but she paused. He had eyes like chocolate buttons. Smiling softly, she ran her fingers very gently along his jaw, memorising the bone as she fell silent. She wanted to get close enough explore every plane of his face, every curve of his well defined muscles but that was too much, too soon. They'd only just had sex together for the first time last night.
Her touch was warm and feather light as she slowly slid her fingers down the side of his neck. They worked their way to the neck of his T shirt, the pads of her fingers touching his collarbone before she stopped suddenly. She blushed again, dropping her hand to tangle it in her still damp hair for safety. "You're just…really hot," she admitted with a lopsided grin.
She bit her lip with a smile, suddenly looking younger than her eighteen years. "No boy's ever made me breakfast before," she admitted, looking up at him with big eyes. This relationship was full of firsts for her, too. She suddenly realised that she wouldn't mind if he made her breakfast every day. wake me up, [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true]
.
oh she was such a tease, baby cakes? not what she called him in bed, more like big.... nevermind. he wondered what else he could call her, certainly not another girls name, but then again, why would he have another girls name on his mind? he never really dwelled on the girls he tutored. they usually didn't care, just called him sweetie and left, he was a pretty good teacher if he must be modest. but he grinned as he brought himself back into reality as she spoke again.
he looked back to her, as she tilted her head, looking like one of those cute baby pugs when it was confused. but of course her face was much much more cuter, and kissable, and... among other things... stop logeun, that would be twice in two days. but when she mentioned physic's he snapped to life "oh im sure we would get right along." he smiled to her. but he wondered if he'd have dinner with kate's family again, the only reason he was nervous the first time, was his parents, they held him to such high standards it was ridiculous, he was sure he could be himself at a harrison dinner, and be perfectly fine. but he recieved a poke into the stomach, and he clutched it as if it was a bullet wound "ow..." he laughed.
logeun began his masterpiece, or his grandpa larry's masterpiece rather. but he zoned back to one of his day dreams, his spatula became a sparring stick, and the points was 10 - 10 with his opponent, next point wins. the swords were whirring, and the slow moments came, block, jab, jab and then the clapping of the crowd as he managed to finish the job. and one small scream, and the crowd went silent. he nodded to the crowd, but broke off to run to kate, kissing her through the stands.
but he snapped into reality, as the eggs slipped into her plate, and she began to work on eating it. she began slowly, chewing and enjoying it, but then she just shoveled the rest. she absorbed it really, and he could only phase himself a laugh. she didn't leave him any, and she apologized, and all he could do was just shrug "dont worry about it, i make myself these like, everyday."
and he smiled as she complimented him, and he smiled a big smile, biggest he had ever, his dad loved his eggs, but his mother never tried logeuns eggs, and it was slightly saddening. the only reason he made them, was that grandpa larry trusted him, and made everyone leave the room on his dieing words, sure he was crying his eyes out, but he burned the recipe into his mind, and here he was, passing it along.
but he almost forget she thanked him, and he smiled as she ran her fingers through his 'curves' per say. he couldn't complain, as he wrapped his around her waist, and when she told him she was hot. he kind of blushed, grinned, and chuckled at the same time, it was a weird thing he did when he was surprised with flattery, he didn't deserve it. "oh stop it you.." he laughed "but your quite the sight, if i say so myself."
and when she told him about the fact no boy has made her breakfast before, it was reassuring, but then again, what if that boy was excellent in some other field? who cares, he sure didn't he was impressing her, and that's all that mattered. he smiled and replied "and no girl can beat your breakfast of champions..." he kissed her and when he got the chance to speak again, he whispered "thank you."

It was probably a bit too early in the relationship for her giving him nicknames. Logeun was a lovely name, so she saw no need in ruining it with ooey-gooey terms of endearment. She might throw the occasional honey bunch or snuckums, just for fun because that was just how she rolled. On the subject of names, she was sure that he didn't know her actual name was Katherine. Then again he wouldn't because she introduced herself as Kate and she'd been known as that since she was a toddler. She was actually named after both of her great-grandmothers.
"You would," she said with a grin and a nod of her head to her glossy curls bobbed along. Kate really did want to show Logeun off. He was cute, he was sweet, he was smart, there was no reason to hide him. Except for his own welfare. Her family were incredible; warm, welcoming, hysterically funny but there was a lot of them and she was worried about how he'd cope. He was so shy! And she wanted to keep innocent and cute for as long as she possibly could. Her Uncle Tom was adore him, though. Logeun was everything he'd want in a son of his own. If they ever got together and spoke about their love of architecture, she was so sure he'd give her boyfriend a job.
He could have dinner with her family again for sure but here, in a relaxed setting. Logeun hadn't said much last time and her mum had picked up on it. Maybe they could have a barbecue or something? Her brother would be home to visit next month. But it was all a bit too soon. After the sex last night, she'd prefer to take it slow and something told her that he would too and that suited her fine. What she wasn't looking forward to, however, was dinner with his parents again. She didn't know why, she wouldn't put her finger on it.
Logeun had laughed but she'd heard his "ow" and she gasped. "Oh shit," she said, her eyes wide in shock as she quickly skidded over to him. "I didn't mean to poke you so hard!" She exclaimed, biting on her lower lip. Yeah, that's what she said. Oh God, enough with the innuendos. "Are you okay?" Kate asked, her big eyed wide and imploring as she put her hands on his chest. She felt guilty suddenly, poor guy. She hadn't meant to assault him.
She smiled again, blushing faintly as she looked at her empty plate. It really wasn't like her to finish everything, she didn't really eat a lot at her meals. She tended to just pick at her food and graze through out the day. Still! It was rather rude of her all the same.
Eating the last of her eggs, she rudely licked the back of her fork, her cat-like tongue darting out to catch the last bit of food before she placed her cutlery down. If Logeun wasn't here, she would probably have licked the plate clean.
His strong hands on his waist seemed to have some effect on her body. Without meaning to, she took a half-step forward and towards him. Everything about him was bigger, no pun intended. His hands were big and warm and when they were on the small of her back, she had to giggle. He could probably fit his hands around her waist if he tried. It was a nice feeling. She felt small and cute, elfin almost, like she wasn't five-foot-ten and the tallest girl in school. She laughed anyway, tilting her head again as her eyes searched his face. God, he was beautiful up close. He really was. Like a Greek god that had been carved out of marble. Yum. She needed to stop.
"I know, right?" Kate said with a laugh as she said she was quite the sight, playfully flipping her hair over her shoulder. In the short time they'd been dating, he'd always said the right thing, said the right thing. So perfect. Her hands slid from his face to rest very gently on his collarbone, still pink. How the Hell had she ended up with the hottest boy at Manchester Prep, in her kitchen, making her breakfast? Without her heels, she was a good three or four inches smaller than he was and she hoped his back was going to hold up. Poor guy.
"Good," she said, her hands sliding up his chest so her long fingers interlinked across the back of his neck. Her plump lips pouted before she scowled. Not like she actually really meant it, it was more of a playful think but her eyebrows furrowed and the tip of her nose wrinkled cutely. "Because if any other girl cooked you breakfast, I'd hit her over the head with that frying pan." She was originally going to say that if any other girl came anywhere near him, she'd hit her over the head with a frying pan but she didn't want to seem like one of those completely bat shit crazy girlfriends.
As she was kissed, she smiled and stopped to kiss him back but when he thanked her, she looked confused. "For what?" She said, looking bemused but she grinned. "You're welcome anyway," she said cheerily, happily bouncing in his arms. Looking around her kitchen, she slid her little hands down his strong arms, letting them come to rest gently on his elbows. "Do you want a tour of the house?" She said with a smile. He was in safe hands, she wasn't going to show him her bedroom. wake me up, [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true]
.
logeun could only think about 'uncle tom'. what if the man could offer him a job? that would be awesome for experience other things. sure it would be a bit weird, but trust would be gained, so there was no point in saying no. but just imagine, his mother would kill him if she heard he was working for somebody else. but you know what? fuck his mother, not literally, that's his dads job. oh god, logeun focus on your ranting.
seriously, she was extremely controlling, always telling him to do this and that. it was getting sick, and sooner or later, he will crack. he wondered if kate noticed, the whole fact that his mother was a bit of a sour puss. she probably did, and was making assumptions about his other family, or extended ones rather. he really did have an awesome bunch of people, all extremely rich and came from poor backgrounds, his father only married his mother because she somehow managed to sweep him off his feet. father told him that personally.
when he jokingly said ow, she took it seriously and could only grin as she rushed to try and help his wound. and when she said that phrase, he couldn't help but chuckle, he didn't know why, but she asked if he was ok, and he replied with a nod "im fine kate, i was only joking" he smiled to her, looking to her lost in thought.
he could only watch her finish off the plate, tongue dancing around her fork, oh god logeun, no thoughts, think of something else, right! he really needed to stop doing this to himself.
he needed to do something, and his hands on her waist was the only thing he could come up with. as well as the fact that it was corny, he knew that he he did anything more, he'd end up on the kitchen counter top. but enough of these thoughts. once he realized it was too late to let go, he smiled, noticing her small waist, realizing he could probably wrap his two hands around them, easily. but the one thing he liked about her, was that she was actually just barely shorter than him. sure he had to lean a small tad to try and kiss her, but he knows his back well enough to say what it will deal.
he could only hold himself together as she locked herself onto his neck. she was really sexy like this, even though it was casual, it was killing his innocence. but he would deal, for the sake in not turning this place into a wreak, like his place was, oh joy. he laughed loudly at the sight of kate beating the poor gal that he will never see, or will never get in this situation.
but she continued on, good, he didn't want to dwell on the subject of him possibly cheating. not like he would, oh god just shut up and listen to the world for once logeun jeezus. and when she asked why she thanked him he smiled "for picking up the phone the day after that party." but she took it well and accepted it.
and as he felt her hands slide down his arms, lightning was coming out of that feeling, and he liked it. but she led him on and asked him if he wanted a tour of her place, he had done the same, but it a more lovely situation, he smiled and nodded "why not..." he grinned, she could return the favor.

Kate exclaimed with a gasp and her eyes widening in partial shock. "I thought you'd actually hurt yourself!" She said. It was probably obvious that he was just faking it but she had always taken things like that to heart. Her brother and herself did it when they were younger. She'd punch him and he'd collapse melodramatically, she'd burst into tears and run for their mother and Benjamin would try and explain that he'd only been kidding. Boys! Her small hands came up to his chest and gave him what she thought was a good hard shove when it actual fact, it was barely a nudge.
As Logeun's hands slid around his waist, she grinned. Kate was a really touchy-feely kind of person. She loved cuddles and hugs, holding hands, sitting on people's laps, anything that let her be close to another person. She was shown a lot of love as a child and she often wondered if that was where it had come from. It was an innocent touch and she didn't want to push things. Last night had been wonderful so why ruin things?
Her fingers made a slow and deliberate pass down his forearms, her fingertips trying to map out all of the contours of his well defined muscles that his plain grey T shirt didn't really mask. He was gorgeous, plain and simple but that wasn't solely why she'd fallen head over her heels for him. She loved the way he treated her, like she was a princess when in actual fact she was anything but. It was cute the way he held doors open for her or pulled her seat out when they sat down together. Very much a chick lit reader and not at all ashamed about it, Logeun was really everything she could ever want. She just wished she knew how to express it to him without coming across like a crazy overly involved girlfriend.
Kate's hands slid lower gently, her warm palms coming to rest just on top of his elbows as she completed the embrace with a warm smile. He was awesome, though. He'd driven her home, made her breakfast and almost gave Mr. Matthews a heart attack. Yeah, Logeun Copperman was a keeper for sure.
She hoped she hadn't ruined his immaculate house last night. She'd tidied up his bedroom before she'd left, picked up all his clothes, made his bed and folded up the dress shirt she'd borrowed and left it on his bed all neat. She was sure he was capable of doing last minute clean ups, there must only be candy wrappers to bin because she'd washed and dried the dishes.
Looking up at him quickly, Kate's smile softened, her pretty face showing that she was utterly touched by his comment. "Aww," she cooed as she grinned slowly. He said the sweetest things! She shook her head softly, her hair coming down from the messy ponytail she'd thrown it up into at his house earlier, soft tendrils spilling down over one of her shoulders. She wasn't one to really keep up with appearances. It was better that Logeun see her without any make up early on in the relationship so he wouldn't recoil in horror at a later date. She blushed faintly, her freckles standing out as she chuckled softly. "It was my pleasure," she said with a bright, beatific smile. It really was. Did she feel guilty about not passing her number on to him? Ahaha. No.
"Awesome," she said when he said he'd let her show him around. She grinned and took his hand gently, lazily interlinking their fingers together loosely, she'd let him go if he wasn't comfortable. "Okay so this is the dining room," she said as she walked through the simple room with high ceilings and wooden floors, her long legs wandering past the dining table with too many chairs for a family of four. But when her family visited, they came in packs. She smiled at the piano in the corner as she squeezed his hand softly. "My dad plays it," she explained. "I'm not very good at it," she admitted with a mumble. It saddened her, she wished she was more artistic.
Taking a left, she lead Logeun up the tall, winding staircase with windows either side. Light was a big focus in her home and she loved it. The house had five bedrooms; her parents, hers, her brother's when he came home and the other two had been turned into an office for her dad and a gym that he didn't use. Opening a door, she stepped back to reveal the bathroom. It was like her parents knew her in the womb because the bath was perfect. The big window was covered by the many trees and they weren't overlooked so no one could see in. Flashing him a smile, she crossed the room to pick up the small box of bright red flowers, holding them to her face to check the soil. Because she stayed at Logeun's house last night, she hadn't watered them and she felt guilty and so, she gently placed them in one of the two sinks and turned on the tap. She ran it for a few seconds before turning it off and returning the plant to the shelf before she blushed again.
"Sorry," she said with a laugh, shrugging. "I just feel guilty when I forget," she admitted. Plants, gardening, flowers, anything that lived was her responsibility. Beckoning him to follow with a long index finger, she walked past the other bedrooms before coming to the end of the hall and a door. "And finally," she said. "La piece de resistance," she said in her very best (and very sexy) French accent. "The bedroom," with that, she stepped back and flung open the door to her room. Kate stood, waiting with baited breath, watching him closely for his reaction. What if he hated it? "So?" Kate whispered, waiting for what he thought. Showing a boy a bedroom for a first time was a big deal for a girl. It was like an inner sanctum and it was her, all over. From the little table near the balcony doors to the plants on the shelves, the teddy on her bed and the stray dress she'd forgot to put away that was hanging on the wall. wake me up, [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true]
.
When she acted serious he got alittle worried, what if he did something wrong, maybe he shouldn't make jokes anymore. he could only laugh softly and try and brush past this mistake of his, he needed to stop making them. "sorry love." he said slightly sadly, it was his mistake, but he decided he needed to move past that, some mistakes are meant to be made, and he made it.
Her touch on his arms drove him insane, the feeling of her hands on his arms brought back visions of last night, but he brushed it aside. he wondered how he had gotten so lucky with kate. he didn't deserve him, he wasn't like the other guys, tough and usually better looking than him. he couldn't deal with the fact he was this lucky, he was lucky to even talk to her at the party, he always saw her around guys, and with her friend rosie talking and laughing. he was just the hallpasserbyer who'd say hi and hold the door as usually him and her would come to chemistry at the same time, he never knew it would be this far.
he needed to stop thinking so stupidly, of course she liked him, it was kind of obvious in her smile to him everytime in the halls, but he was thinking stupid in thinking that she would fall for some other meathead jock, they wouldn't know what to do with her. he on the other hand, had something in him, although he was completely unsure on what it was. maybe it was his kindness, but that never got him any gals, only friends. his looks and physique? it only got him looks from girls at the sparring ring and the gym, he doubted its why girls stick with guys.
But he continued to play her game, but before he knew it, she was dragging him around the house, he admired all the rooms. the large windows and ceilings was his style, modern and large. even though his house was filled with gadgets and gizmos, it wasn't the same, living in a fortress of brink and mortar.
He watched he water the plants, so caring and kind, so sweet. But she spoke and he smiled, he saw no need to speak, as she was doing all the talking, or the fact he was admiring the house, alot. but when she showed him her room, he was slightly speechless. and when she asked for his opinion he smiled and walked in, trying to take in all that was in her room "its awesome, and unique, and everything, just like you.." he smiled as he looked to the teddy bear, wondering what it has been through, but he walked to her chair and sat down on it casually. "i like it alot." he knew she was looking for his opinion, the silence was a clue to that.

She wrapped her arms around his neck tightly, leaning onto her tiptoes as she pulled him close into a tight, affectionate embrace. She was still learning about him. She hadn't been in a relationship for about a year now so she was just figuring out the etiquette. She was learning what made him happy, what made him sad, what made him uncomfortable and a hug usually sorted everything out. Kate didn't say anything, she just held him. She didn't want to ruin a nice morning so far. Turning her head, she inhaled his scent. Logeun smelt like…home. Warm, familiar, safe. She'd used his soap that morning but she didn't smell as good as he did.
It just felt nice to be this close and if she had her way, she'd make him cuddle with her for hours. He'd done that last night. She woke up to find his arms around her and she hoped he'd held her like that all night. How romantic!
With a smile, Kate pulled back a little, eyes sparkling before closing the small gap again and kissing him. It sounded tacky but his lips were addictive. They were surprisingly soft. Logeun was a big guy, tall and muscular but he held her so gently, like she was a breakable porcelain doll. God, he was just so cute. And she had fallen head over heels, everything he did amazed her. He needed to stay here, with her, forever. Whether he liked it or not. Her warm fingers stroked his cheek gently, amused at the feel of the stubble. She actually didn't mind it too much.
Kate had debated on showing him her bedroom, dancing back and forth on the issue but he had shown her his. But she laughed, sounding relieved as she heaved a sigh, placing her hand on her chest, grinning. She didn't know why she was so thankful she'd won his approval. In fact, she was more thankful that her mum had decided to clean her room for her because it sure as Hell wasn't this pretty when she left last night.
"Awww," the tall blonde, cracking a smile as she blushed softly. Her big green eyes watched him stroll across her room and take a seat at her desk. She had to smile; he suited her room. "Logeun," she said, leaning across her bed to pick up the small, battered teddy bear, gently tugging his teeny red shirt to adjust it with a grin. "This is Bailey," she said, introducing her boyfriend to her one and only teddy. Weird? You betcha. "Bailey, this is Logeun," she said, manipulating the bear's arm to offer the boy a wave. "Can't remember where I got him," she said with a thoughtful frown. "I think my Dad got him for me when I was born and he's been all over." Bailey was like her security blanket. Long drives in the family car? Bailey was buckled up next to her. Family holidays? Bailey sat on her lap on the plane ride over. Dentist appointments? Bailey was there keeping her company.
Carrying the teddy, Kate strode over to where Logeun was sitting, placing Bailey down on her desk to come up behind him and squeeze his shoulders, dipping her head to kiss his cheek. "I like you a lot," she said in response, grinning broadly so her cheeks dimpled. The dress that was hanging up on show was the same one that she'd worn to their dinner date. She'd had it dry cleaned, she wanted to preserve it. Yeah in places things had gotten a little bit hairy but so what? Her parents adored him and that was all that really mattered.
Very touchy feely today and unable to help it, she rubbed his back softly, just to be able to feel him. Logeun was addictive and she had to try hard to reign herself back in. She didn't want to scare him and she didn't want to be an overbearing girlfriend but the relationship was new and she wanted to get as much of him as she could before he got bored of her.
Letting him go, she picked up the keys from the shelf attached to the wall, slid it into the lock and turned, opening up the big pine wood doors to let the morning light flood in. Outside, Kate had her very own little balcony and she stepped outside, trusting Logeun was follow her. She had her coffee and breakfast outside most mornings in the summer. The space was filled with plants. She was growing vegetables; she had cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and some basil growing in little pots. She even had a dwarf lemon tree.
It was truly beautiful that morning. Kate didn't know if it actually was or if it was just because she was utterly, blissfully happy since meeting Logeun. They hadn't been dating long but he'd honestly changed her life for the better. Popping her head around the door, she grinned. "Hey," she said, lifting her finger to beckon him out to her. "I got you something." Heading back to her balcony, she held a little bonsai tree. Yeah it was a strange gift to give but Kate Harrison was a strange girl. wake me up, [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true]
.
Before he could act on it, she was hugging him tightly. had she noticed his completely sadness and confusion? well the latter was added just now. but he decided not to dwell on the subject, and enjoyed the embrace, its warmness melting the ice in his chest and keeping him from going insane. it was like he needed her to be this close. but he knew he he always asked for hugs, that would come off weirdly. the thing was, he felt familiar in this embrace, maybe it was the fact she smelled like him, which he didn't mind. it wasn't the fact he liked the way he smelled, why would he think that? she just, she just could get away with it. much better than him with her soap, or any woman product. what are you even thinking about logeun, stay focused.
before he could think, she pulled back a bit, tempting him to take the moment, her eyes shining softly in the light, but she took the liberty and did it for him, locking lips for a few moments. every time, it always brought him chills, and it always felt new. it was weird to think that, friends could argue that kisses get old, but he just didn't feel the power of it fading any time soon, and hopefully it never will.
he liked the room, there wasn't much to say, it was a room, its personal space, if she had satanic posters and death metal band pictures all over the place he wouldn't mind, well about the first one, maybe. but kate was kate, unique in every sense, always will be, and never wanted her to change, and he wouldn't for her. so what if his mother was iffy on having this relationship, one parent in the bond will have that feeling. but her voice cut through his thoughts like butter. kate showed him her bear, he's been sleeping with her! what a-hole. but he showed his respect and gave him a small nod and said a simple 'hey.' and he looked around the room a second time, good, no satanic posters.
he smiled at the thought, but before he could think, she was hugging him from behind and kissed his cheek. he smiled as she spoke about like him. "i do too, but bailey will be a problem for us." he grinned and laughed "im just kidding! he's a nice guy, i hope."
the thing was with her, he never seemed to expect what she was going to do, and it kept him on his toes, which was a good thing, it kept things interesting in the relationship. not that he would break it off if things got boring, no he would never do that, never never. and yes, he just said never, so justin beiber can go blow up or something. because, sometimes, you can say never.
and when she let go, he was about to protest, but she soon beckoned him to come outside, just by her walk he wanted to follow, logeun, you are the luckiest man alive. and when he got outside, he was suprised to see her holding what seemed to be a bansai tree, he took it and smiled. and replied with a kiss to the cheek followed by "thank you." he held the tree firmly and looked around, she had quite the view, so he said it outloud too "nice view..." he said with amazement as he looked around.
he couldn't wish to be anywhere else right now.

Was he having fun with her? He returned the hug but was he still upset with her? Absently, she wrung her slender fingers together nervously, her hands itching to touch him. It was like she wanted, needed to be closer. Honestly? Logeun was flawless; great hisser, excellent hugger, he could cook, he was smart and he didn't snore. Just to make sure, she leant in and kissed the tip of his nose to try and seal the deal. She loved him but he'd have to deal with her flighty behaviour.
But she laughed before she gasped. "Hey!" The blonde said, her eyes widening as she cuddled her teddy to her bust, much the same as a toddler would. "There's plenty of room in my bed for three," she said with a grin, tilting her head to the side a little. Flirting came easy to Kate but she felt as though she had to lay it on rather thick for him, just so he understood her properly. With a sigh, she looked down at her childhood teddy. Bailey was missing an eye, one of his arms was hanging off, he'd been dearly loved and she gently placed him down on her bed once again, lovingly resting him against her plush pillows.
"I'd give him up for you," she said with a smile and a shrug of her shoulders. She'd give anything up for him.
Honestly, she'd gone back and forth over what to get him as a present. Practical things seemed unromantic to her. She could have gotten him a new gadget for his car or one of that super smart books he liked to read but honestly? It all seemed a bit depressing. Kate didn't feel silly for getting him gifts, they were fairly inexpensive gifts and Logeun deserved presents. It was his birthday soon and she had no idea what to buy him.
Biting her lip, she soon smiled at the kiss on her cheek. The skin he'd touched felt warm as a sudden blush suffused her cheeks as she opened her eyes again. Bonsai trees were awesome! If he wanted, they could further bond over her teaching him how to prune the branches.
Nice view? Unable to help herself, her big green eyes drifted over to him to admire his profile. She figured she was allowed to perv on him because after all, they were dating and it was a girlfriend's prerogative. She grinned slowly, decidedly wicked and irreligious. "Amazing," she purred. "Oh!" She exclaimed, her arms going in the air as she quickly dashed from the balcony. She ran down the stairs as quick as her long legs could carry her before returning a few minutes later, slightly out of breath and carrying a clear Tupperware box.
"Here," she said, pressing the small box into his much larger hands. Inside the box was a collection of gingerbread cookies and she smiled. "These are for you. Make sure to give some to your mother," Kate said with a smile that looked a teeny bit forced. Logeun must know she'd picked up on his mum's behaviour towards her at dinner. It wasn't his fault and he mustn't take it to heart but she had to admit, she was a little upset. She knew she was protective of her only son but it wasn't like she was a golddigger who had a trail of broken hearts left in her wake.
Now that Logeun had both of his hands full, she leant up to kiss him again, just a brief peck as she gave a happy sigh. Parents, pfft. Looking down at the grounds, she sighed again, then time unhappily. "Do you have to go home?" Kate asked with a frown, looking down as her fingers traced small, intricate patterns on his strong forearms. She hated saying goodbye. Yeah she'd probably see him tomorrow but it still hurt. He better had go, his parents would probably be home by now anyway.
She lead Logeun down the stairs and through her home, stopping at the front door which she opened, seeing Mr. Matthews pop his head over his hedge and she snorted. "Thank you for the ride home," Kate replied with a smile. "And for breakfast. Best thing I've ever tasted," she said honesty with a nod of her head, sending golden curls bobbing. Leaning up, she kissed the cheek he had nearest to her as she smiled again. "Call me later?" She asked, looking and sounding hopeful, eyes bright as she smiled. It was weird. She couldn't actually fall asleep until she'd wished him a goodnight. "I love you."
