DRIVEN Beatrix has always been a very driven person. She always has a goal in mind And is more than willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it.She is one of those people who always seem to know what they want and how to make it happen. She isn’t the least bit indecisive and doesn’t even really know the meaning of the word. Even as a kid, she was never the type to lay there and cry when she wanted something. Instead she was making a plan of how to get. Sometimes her plans didn’t go so well but that never stopped her. Even today she is determined to get what she wants without asking for help from her wealthy parents. She also refuses to be any sort of damsel in distress, this princess can save herself.
GOOD LISTENERThere is always a person in every group of friends that seems to be the resident therapist. Bea is one of these people and is always willing to listen when someone wants to talk. She is pretty outspoken but also knows when it’s a good time to shut her mouth and open her ears. People tend to trust her because of this and she is always the go to when it comes to voicing problems. Her older brothers would go to her but they have far too much pride. They can’t seem to suck it up and talk to a sixteen year old, even if she is wise beyond her years. This trait tends to set her apart from other girls her age. This is probably why she finds most of them completely insufferable and is why she tends to hang out with boys and people older than her.
STUBBORN When someone is as driven as Beatrix, it’s very likely that they’re also very stubborn. Bea doesn’t like to give up on anything, no matter what anyone says. If she has her mind set on something than she will not quit unless forced. She was even like that as a child. If she was told to go left then you could be damn sure that she would go right. If you wanted her to stop then she would start running. It was just the way she was and still is. Listening to the direction of others for her is like drinking bleach. That doesn’t mean she’s closed minded though, she will listen and take suggestions, just don’t order her around. As soon as you stop asking and start telling, she will turn right around and never come back. This can cause quite a problem with her parents because they are constantly trying to control her. They don’t seem to realize that the more they try to change her, the more she pulls away from them.
QUICK TEMPERED Bea is a pretty chill person…most of the time. There is another side of her that only comes out ever once and a while and it isn’t all that pretty. When provoked, Bea has one of the hottest tempers out there and you would do better not to encounter it. Once she gets into a certain mood, her temper becomes quick and easily provoked. You would almost think she was a different person. This might be the result of growing up surrounded by brothers. They are all older than her and they figured that they’re age gave them the right to push her around. Beatrix didn’t quite agree with that though and she became rather feisty. If they decided to push her around a little too much than she would break out a can of whoop ass and pretty much become a mass of flailing limbs. Now that she’s older, her brothers have grown up a bit more although they still do push her buttons. If they push her too hard, then there is always hell to pay.
life
Beatrix Genevieve Edwards was born on a warm morning to parents who had been through this many times before. She was the youngest of five kids, the rest of whom were all boys. Her parents were surprised and a touch disappointed that there last child was a girl. They liked having boys and had just assumed that Beatrix would be male. When she wasn’t, the only person excited was her grandmother who had always wanted someone to dress up. Her father was unmoved by the birth of his daughter and didn’t feel the need to part take in the unnecessary trivialities of child rearing. Her mother was by that time, a career woman so she was more than willing to hand her off to a nanny. Bea was a pretty happy baby and learned early on that crying wouldn’t really get her anywhere. The novelty had worn off a few kids ago. The only person she ever really smiled at was her grandmother. The rest of the time, she was serious and reserved.
Her brothers on the other hand were rambunctious and as Beatrix entered her childhood she learned to hold her own. She could be quiet and well behaved one moment and tearing across the lawn after her brothers the next. Her parents were never really involved but that was normal to the Edwards children. They were used to being left with nannies and looked forward to weekends with their grandmother. Bea grew up as one of the boys and didn’t know many girls. When she started school, she wasn’t familiar with the games her female class mates wanted to play. Instead she made friends with a boy named Theo. Theo’s family was close with hers and kids liked to play with each other. Bea became particularly close with him even if he did call her Trixie. The two of them did nearly everything together and neither were very happy when the Edwards family had to move away.
It wasn’t a very happy day when Beatrix’s father told them that they were moving to California. She was only eight at the time and didn’t see why she couldn’t stay behind. Despite her many protests, Beatrix was forced to move away and re start her life in California. She was a pretty normal kid and didn’t have anything hugely wrong with her so she managed to fit in. Middle school was a night mare but it usually is for most kids. It passed in a mirage of bad fashion choices and braces. High school started without much drama, at least not at school. The Edwards had their own share of drama. Bea’s father had started to drink although it was kept a secret. He tended to become angry very easily and liked to yell at his kids and on occasion, even throw things. He never laid a hand on them but Beatrix learned to be cautious. Her mother was soon growing sick of it and one day she didn’t come home from work. They learned a few days later that she run away with a lover. Bea’s father was furious and decided they needed to leave California. He managed to get a transfer and the family moved back to Maryland. Beatrix is now back in her childhood home and has been for a little while now. She was thrilled to be reunited with her childhood friend although now they've become something more. She will be starting school as a junior in the fall. Her father is drinking more and she tried to avoid him the best she can. Two of her brothers have moved out and one has his own family. The other two are seniors in high school.
