[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width:400px] [/style][style=width: 197px; height: 300px; padding-right: 3px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9px; text-align: justify; overflow: auto;]the kid was an absolute menace. such a handful that blayke was having trouble trying to handle him. he made any other child that she had babysat in the past look like a complete angel when compared to him. more than a dozen times she had wanted to boot him out of the house, leave him to go and find another person to torture. she was legitimately stricken, upset over the fact that she was seventeen and still had to use babysitting as a way to gain money. being fired from her receptionist job had not been good for her and now she was was trying to haul in as much money as she could from babysitting. it was not embarrassing for mackie to say that babysat, just more shameful because not a single one of the places that she had applied to had her called back to show that they were interested in her application. it was not seen as a fault of her personality, but more of a loss for the different places. they would not have blayke carmack, a valuable asset to any company or work place. she was a special person and they were missing out because they had not jumped on the chance to call her back. so, because of their mistakes she was still suck babysitting brats who were never worth her time. craig was his name and mackie couldn't remember if he was four or five. either way, he was a young child and still an utter brat. his parents gave him whatever the hell he wanted or else he would whine and throw tantrums. mackie would not have admitted it but he more or less reminded her of how she had acted when she had been that age. they had started off the day at his house, which was a very enviable mansion, where his mom had said they would probably spend all of the day. craig was usually content with playing video games, of which he had all of the latest consoles and an array of games that would make any gamer's jaw drop. he had come out of his room for the first time around lunch, demanding that she make him a grilled cheese the way he liked it. the way he liked it was with one piece of white bread and one piece of wheat, two different types of cheese, and a mound of ham in the very center. he had gobbled down after she had incorrectly made it twice. finally he had picked at it, devoured it, then demanded that she find his favorite pair of swim trunks and take her to the beach. his mom had said nothing about the beach, but she had gotten the feeling that they would have torn the whole house apart if he had failed to get his way. she had not been prepared to go to the beach, meaning that she did not have a beach bag or a bathing suit. after searching around a bit she had been able to find a fully equipped beach bag and the swim trunks that craig had been talking about. mackie decided that they would walk to the beach, hoping that it would tire out craig and keep their visit to the beach short. the had ran ahead the whole time, colliding into people and keeping blayke chasing after him. she didn't bother to apologize to any of the people he shoved aside, she was too busy trying to keep up with him. it wouldn't have looked good for her if she had ended up losing him the first time she had babysat for the family. they paid well, she would have hated to lose their business. they arrived at the beach together, surprisingly, and craig immediately picked the spot where he wished to play. she laid out a towel, sitting on, watching craig dig his way into the sand. mackie sighed, feeling tired already. she only had looked away for a moment, but in that time he had grabbed a hand full of sand and flung it at a random stranger. she looked back over to him, let out a gasp, and stood to rush over to the stranger. "oh my god, i'm so sorry!" |
