SITE UPDATE
Hey all my beautifuls <3 You've all been wonderful active members lately and I urge you to keep up the good work, keep threading and posting and being wonderful. I just wanted to make this thread to update you on a few important things happening around the site!
1. First of all, PREPS ARE BANNED. We have entirely tooooo many preps at the moment, and I hate banning cliques, but there are like a holy ton of preps hahahah. Not that I don't love them all. I do <3
2. On that same note, I think we have so many preps because it's kind of turned into the go-to clique if you want your character to be popular but kind of neutral at the same time. This is not accurate. Because of this reason, admin will most likely be doing some character evaluations among ourselves over the next month or so, specifically within the preps clique, and if we have a problem with the characters fitting in the cliques, we'll discuss it privately with the members. We're hoping to be very candid and open about this, so I suggest you prepare yourself just in case one of your characters is put on the spot. I would appreciate it if you'd all be professional and easy to work with on this, because, as much as I love all of the characters, some of them wouldn't realistically be in the cliques that they are right now.
3. The advertising competition went GREAT! I'm going to leave it open a few more days just because I haven't given you guys any idea of when it's closing. Kat totally dominated but if you want to give a shot to second place or try beating her, BE MY GUEST! I'll say the advertising competition will tentatively close on July 10th, so you have a little over a week left if you want to keep competing in that.
4. I know I haven't put up any Of The Month Nominations yet, and I've done that for a reason. I wanted everyone to kind of get settled and have a good population of members before I went ahead and did it, so June was the last month we won't be doing that. At the end of July, I'll be putting up the nominations for the of the months.
5. On that same note, I made a poll here for what of-the-month nominations we will have (outside of member, female, and male)! (I didn't actually use the proboards poll software because it didn't work with what we're doing). Basically, reply with the TOP 7 OF THE MONTH EXTRAS you would like to have and admin will discuss it and decide by the end of july.
6. I want to get some events up for you guys to participate in! We've had a lot of member input in the past and I totally love that. I was thinking of putting up a beach party event, and I still really like that idea, but I want your input. Go here and we can all discuss what kind of events we want for the site coming up!
7. I want to encourage you all to not only make more rejects, but consider your character for the CANON reject position. I feel as if I haven't been super clear about it and it is kind of a confusing subject. There is the general reject group around Manchester, which is filled with various cliques (stoner, loner, punk, ex-popular, etc), and then there are the reject CANONS. The reject canons consist of the rejects that want to bring the royals down. Your character doesn't need to be anything special, but if they for some reason hate ANY of the royals or want to bring ANY of the royals down, PLEASE CONTACT ME!! I'm super excited to get the site plot on the road and I want the reject canons to be opened up more than they already are. If you think you can handle it, take one of the reject canons that are open!
8. In that handy dandy little announcement box above the boards and below the site banner, there is a second tab for quick links! I would love it if you guys would PLEASE utilize the gossip tumblr more! It has taken the place of a gossip blog on-site and we did a tumblr instead, so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to the gossip tumblr and submit gossip on anon. I don't care whether it's completely true or something completely made up. We want to run it like a real gossip blog!
9. I need you guys to log in all of your accounts daily. We're averaging about 60 accounts daily and we have OVER 150 accounts. That's kind of silly in my opinion. It takes all of five seconds to log in all your accounts daily and I don't want to have to be harsher about it. It's really good for the site image, so just do it please.
10. PLEASE GO MAKE SURE ALL OF YOUR FACES ARE CLAIMED. I don't want any more confusion on this and I know some people are slacking! Go check your faces! It's not my fault if someone comes along and snags the face because you didn't claim it.
11. Because of some members wanting some new places to roleplay, I have a poll up for some new locations! Please drop by and vote for your three favorites and admin will negotiate adding them to the current boards we have.
