life
Brooklyn was always the one who stood out. Always the tallest, the most charismatic, the most charming. From a young age she was used to be having a lot of attention, especially with an older and younger sister who often preferred to be in the background. She had a smile so sweet and encouraging that most adults could never say no to her pretty little requests. Brookie especially had her father wrapped around her little finger; he could never say no to his princess. Brooke also loved her sisters more than anything--when they were too shy or timid to ask for things, she would throw a fit until they got what they wanted. The three sisters were close enough in age that their lives were understandably intertwined, and Brooke considers her sisters the most important people in her life. When she found out her father was having an affair, Brooke was horrified. Her father was her knight in shinning armor. She didn't know who she was more angry with--her father for having the affair or her mother for not giving them a second chance. Bitter at her father's decision to move away, Brooke rebelled. She became a regular partier, easily fitting in with the royals when high school came. While her sisters spent their allowance on practical things, Brooke often didn't have money for school trips or skipped lunch so she could buy new Jimmy Choos instead.
Then Savannah left. Brooke, shockingly, didn't blame her. In fact, she was jealous. School in Paris sounded so thrilling and romantic! But Brooke hadn't gotten the grades for that sort of program. When graduation came around, Brooke felt lost. She didn't know what she wanted. She'd been doing some modeling on the side but it really hadn't kicked off, and she found herself without the dedication to really push her career off the ground. That's when her mom hit her with a bombshell: she had been in an affair before her father had been. Brooke lost it. She couldn't believe the nerve her mother had to send their father away when she herself hadn't been faithful. Brooke was prone to over emotional tantrums when she was angry, and this was no exception. She went into a rage at her mother, crying and throwing things until finally she stormed to her room and packed her bags. Within 12 hours the young woman had packed all her things and let her sisters know what had happened. She moved on to her best friend's couch and vowed to never speak to her mother again.
The last year since that incident has been up and down for Brooke. On the one hand, she channeled her anger at her mother into her career. Her modeling took off, so much so that she goes to New York for shoots about one a month--more when things are really busy. She's made a name for herself in the industry and as a small-scale socialite. The lifestyle suits her--Brooke isn't great at keeping up with bills or remembering important dates. She is often moving from apartment to apartment because she got in a fight with the friend she was living with, or broke up with the guy. She leans on the men she dates heavily to take care of her, though Brooke hardly realizes this about herself. Often times she has $400 shoes on her feet but no cable because she forgot to pay the rent. She keeps up appearances well and often flaunts her 'fame' and career. Brooke still hasn't spoken to her mother and has no intention to any time soon.
