Shannon is the typical military brat born on a Marine base in Oahu, Hawaii to a Brigadier General and a chef. A former transfer in the middle of his sophmore year, he has slid easily into the band geek clique. Band was the only thing keeping him from becoming a nerd or a stoner. This is one of the first times that Shannon has stayed in an area long enough to actually put down any type of roots and as much as he loves his nomad lifestyle, he enjoys the fact that the people he meets stay there for awhile versus the kids at the bases he's stayed at. Prior to settling down, the only constants he had were his immediate family, math, art and music. He plays drums, trumpet and saxophone.
Generally, Shannon tries to be in the mix of things. Because he's not used to forming attachment, his primary friend group varies. He doesn't really care about anyones social standing or what people think of him just as long as they don't lie or betray him. He's a social kid who loves being at parties, being around people and being the center of attention. He's the kid that you'd see on a video doing the most outlandish thing. He loves women but is usually mostly just friends with them because he's blunt to the point of being vulgar and will not hesitate to point something out to anyone.
One of the most obvious things that people first notice about Shannon other than his very low and raspy voice are his tattoos and gauges. At first, getting inked was a rebellious act against his super strict father. It soon became a bit of an addiction and a non-verbal middle finger to his father's asperations of him becoming a marine. He just wants to play music, smoke weed, party, so he can graduate and go to MIT for Computer Science and Engineering.

"KAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE. Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatieeee. Dresden Doooooooooooooolll." A bass voice semi-roared through the house. It wasn't as if he could control it. With his voice, when it got loud there was no volume control. It went straight to level 100. "Where areeee you?" Shannon Alexander walked down stairs to where his sneaky friend fled. It wasn't as if she had many places to hide and he had a companion with her. If he'd known that she'd try and kidnap his new puppy, he'd put a bell on Yamo's collar so he could find them easier in the house. Like usual, the house was empty with his father out of town doing whatever high ranked Marines did and his mother was working at the resturant that she'd finally been able to establish. His kid sister was at her girlfriends house and his other two brother were at grand dad's house. So what did Shae do when there was no one home? He had company.
As hot as Kate was, he respected her a bit too much to have her splayed ass up on his bed. He enjoyed an easy friendship with her, full of flirtatiousness and all of those things that came with being friends with a girl. Like getting his dog stolen. "Kate, man, c'mon. Just cause he sat when you told him to doesn't mean he love you more." He heard a yip and his eyes narrowed as he tried to search for whence the sound came. Not the living room...ah, the kitchen.
Smirking with his dimples carving deep holes into his cheeks, he slowly walked into the kitchen, noticing a short tail waving from behind the counter. Shannon leaned his tall form over the counter and looked at the girl sprawled on the floor with a puppy licking her shoes. "...Kate. I said I was going to feed your body and your stomach. You said you didn't want any sexual chocolate...that doesn't mean you have to run away from me to get food, babe."
