life
Althea has always despised her name. She was given it at birth and for the longest time she was called "Elfie" around Christmas time, not because it sounds identical to her name (though it sounds close) but because of how petite she is. Standing at a meager 5"0, Althea often lies and says she is 5"4. She's a spitfire by nature, primarily because of her upbringing. Had she not been forced to stand up for what she believed in, she'd probably be the quietest person alive. She has attachment issues because her father left when she was younger, and this causes her to have constant fights with the one person she really does love. While she won't ever willingly admit she loves Ash, she pisses him off primarily to see if he'll run or not.
She's a punk by nature, she dislikes rules and tends to make her own. While she isn't your stereotypical 'gothic' punk, she most definitely possesses the punk and temperment that is required to fit into said clique. Ally tends to be very spunky, her words often escape her mouth before she really has a chance to think about them. She doesn't mean to be hurtful, but sometimes she is. She loves painting, though its kind of her secret talent. She's very loud, and sometimes deemed obnoxious, those who know her either embrace that quality or dislike her. She fits into what her and her friends like to call "the group". This is pretty much a stereotypical sitcom "group" or people who have been friends for years, Ash being one of those. While she could be seen as the oddest one, Ally embraces her personality and appearance and tends to flaunt it.
roleplaying sample
"mama" a slighlty shrill voice called. juliet looked up from her makeup bag, turning towards the door. she'd become somewhat accustomed to the title, after all...little anna hadn't known her as anything but a mother. kneeling down, jules opened her arms and gestured for the petite girl who looked almost like her twin ran towards her. hey beautiful she stated softly, holding her tight against her chest when she stood back up. anna was two. she was part of the package, if you wanted jules you got the pair. but she wasn't certain a 'blind' date was something anna would be welcomed on.
do i gotta go to lissa's? julie couldn't help but smile, her voice was so young and it was often hard to differentiate her words. sadly, boo. she set the girl down and watched as she sat cross legged on the floor. how about i turn the tv on and you can watch it while i get ready? she offered, picking her up once more and setting her down on her bed. anna just nodded, clearly pretending to be angry with her. she then flicked on the television and turned back to her bag.
blocking out the noise from the television, and focusing her attention half on what she was doing, and half on listening to anna's giggles, she continued to get ready. she decided to wear a bright red, backless, dress. it wasn't overly formal, it was made of cotton and had floral lace down the back. the hem fell just above her knees and the lace was black, which matched her pumps.
considering her meager height of five feet, she wore pumps everywhere she went. if she didn't, she'd be too small to even carry on proper conversations. glancing at her watch, juliet panicked. she was running a few minutes late to meet adrian. anna? are you all ready to go to lissa's? she asked, turning towards her and scooping her easily off the bed. anna nuzzled into her tiredly, nodding. stay awake, doll. her statement went unheard by the two year old. she drifted a little bit, and julie just didn't bother to wake her. she walked downstairs carefully, setting the small girl into her 'big girl' stroller, and then she returned to anna's room the retrieve her bag. she set it under the stroller in the pocket and then put her purse on her shoulder, and started down the street towards sunset.
it was a beautiful day out. though, there were some lingering clouds in the sky. the weatherman had hinted at rain, but julie thought nothing of it. she texted the babysitter, meet you at the usual place she sent it quickly, hoping that the toddler would stay asleep.
when she got to the corner, she stopped. this was where she usually met the babysitter on her way to school or work. she scanned the sidewalk, searching for any sign of someone who looked like they where looking for her...she spotted someone who looked somewhat familiar, maybe she'd seen him in chat. she waved politely, a smile on her face. that smile faltered some when she heard anna stir some, she looked down at the stroller and she knelt down, pulling the top of the stroller up some, morning, sunshine. she teased playfully, pulling her up and out of the stroller. she was still relatively quiet considering she'd just woken up after a twenty or so minute nap, jules looked up at the person again, curious as to whether or not he was her 'blind date'.
