life
Growing up, Aiden was one of those freaky babies with really big eyes that never smiled or laughed at anything. It took him a while to begin to comprehend human interaction, and he grew into a really socially awkward toddler. He spent his daycare days on the sidelines of the group, playing with whatever toy hadn't already been claimed. Outwardly, Aiden was kind of dim, and his mother, as loving and overbearing as she is, was worried that there was something wrong with him. Instead of taking him to a child psychologist, she enrolled him in sports when he became old enough. He played a lot of sports growing up: baseball, football (you know little kid football c;), and when he entered middle school, he started track. It was a fantastic way for him to open up, too, and he soon figured out human interaction.
However, he was still kind of a reject until recently. He grew up having only one friend that wasn't on a sports team with him: Sydney Palmer. Her tolerance for him was probably what drew him to her in the first place, as she always seemed to understand what he meant no matter what he said, or rather, didn't say. He was never very talkative, after all, but that never seemed to bother her. They grew up together, two peas in a pod, until middle school, of course. As many of us know, middle school is an awful time for most, but it was the opposite for Aiden. He grew socially, became more popular, and made new friends. The sudden attention that was placed on him fueled his ego, and he started to show a previously hidden side to him: cockiness. He started taking his friends for granted, especially Sydney. In the end, they drifted apart, her unable to voice her concerns about their friendship to him. He simply forgot to keep up with her because of his growing popularity. Soon, they never spoke at all. And they still don't, going into their freshman year of high school. Currently, Aiden thinks he's pretty hot shit because he grew into a well-spoken sort of guy (although never saying a lot of words), having always been bright inside his mind. He is in for a shock, I suppose.
