The field. That place where so many wonderful memories had been made in the last years was always the same to Derrick. Even now when they all four were out here, drinking and having the time of their lives, he found that he will never be tired of this place, never. Anna was currently standing before him, her back resting against his chest as his arms were wrapped around her. "I have something to show you" he had whispered right next to her ear, the smell of her perfume oozing off of her to reach and intoxicate him. "Really? Then show it to me" Anna was beaming, like she always seem to do but perhaps that was how he saw her. A chuckle left his lips as he saw her pull away from him, holding his hand, tugging on it to make him move. "Alright" he said as he began to walk, quickly stealing a glance back to Corbin and Molly; they seemed wrapped up in their own little world so he decided to retreat to his own world with Anna. "Where are you taking me?" Anna couldn't keep the smile from her face, that smile that Derrick had grown to love and wish to forever see on her slightly pink lips; even her cheeks were slightly flushed due to the alcohol in her system. That was something he had always liked about her, how he could tell she had been drinking due to the blush that came to spread over her cheeks. "It's a surprise" They always seemed to stick with a part of the field, and once he came alone he had gone to explore the other side, causing him to run into the spot he was taking her too. "You are always surprising me" Anna moved to lean against him, stopping when she finally saw ahead what he most have been looking to show her. "You actually found one!" her eyes lit up while she began to walk faster, tugging on his arm in order to get him to follow her her pace instead of the calm and relaxed one he wanted to impose. "I told you I was going too, I am just glad I didn't have to take you out of the country" he noticed the quick playful glare from Anna but he carried on, not commenting on it for he knew it was all in good fun. What the male had been wanting to show her was this large tree; it might be normal to some, it was nothing more than a tree but Anna had confessed a while back how she had always wanted to see one so big; she was huge on the ecologic theme, so seeing such a large tree was just something rather important to her. Therefore he had been searching the largest tree near by, only to end up bumping into this particular one. It was amazing that it was still around, which he assumed was something good. "I wanted you to be the first one to see it" As they came to a stop, Anna moved to run her right hand over the trunk of the tree. "I was thinking we can climb a bit and then just look around" while speaking, Derrick had managed to reach the spot that allowed him to jump and so he did, helping Anna move up as well, going all the way to the middle. Finally there, Der took a seat; his back resting against the tree while Anna settled herself between his legs, because that way she simply leaned back against Derrick. "Der; thank you for bringing me here" shifts a little so she can look up at him. "No problem; but you know, you never did told me why you started calling me Der" he knew how random it might seem but it came to his mind now and he didn't wanted to lose the idea. "You want me to tell you?" a nod was what Anna got as an answer from his part "You are going to think it's silly and laugh" Derrick shook his head, moving one hand to brush against her cheek. "I won't, tell me" his deep ocean blue eyes locked with hers, unable to keep the smile from appearing on his lips at the eye-lock. ]"Alright" |
Derrick noticed that Anna was shifting to be able to face him better, so he loosened his grip on her yet not once did he made any effort to break the kiss. It would be a lie to say both of them had never thought of this happening, for the stolen glances and constant late phone calls, along with the times in which they merely stayed together at peace without having to speak were enough to make anyone realize they had more than just a friendship brewing inside of them. Finally the lack of oxygen and the need to let their minds caught up with their bodies caused them to pull back. "I always knew you were a good kisser" Anna smiled, slightly embarrassed for saying that. Derrick chuckled, resting his forehead against the side of her face "I always knew you wanted to kiss me" he whispered only to earn her hand slapping his chest which caused him to laugh. "I also know you want to kiss me again" Der nuzzled her neck, causing her to giggle. "Kiss me" he said, glancing at her with what he considered to be a rather cute smile. "You are such a girl sometimes" Anna then watched Derrick scowl but he was unable to say anything for her lips were against his once more. It didn't seem liked a make out session in his mind, perhaps because he was looking pass it and actually realizing this was what he had wanted for so long, that he had the girl he wanted in his arms; the realization caused him to smile into the kiss. Anna felt herself losing herself in the moment, he always made her feel safe, calm, happy. When the kiss ended, they merely stayed there in each others arms. At one point he helped her down, but they didn't move too far as they merely sat on the grass, talking for a couple of hours without stop. That was it; they didn't needed an explanation about what had happened, no reasoning behind it; no awkward chats to figure out where this was going to lead them. They both knew, they both could figure it out on their own, they both understood that this had been bound to happen, but it wasn't until now that they had gotten the courage to make it happen. It was as if they had always known, it was expressed every day but never declared; there was absolutely no need to do so. "I am going to miss this trips" Anna whispered, cuddling closer to Derrick. "We'll do this again sometime" he assured her, although he also knew Corbin had sworn never to come back. "Promise you'll never leave" she asked, and he could feel her grip on his shirt tighten up. "Promise; I am never saying goodbye to you" he assured her; he said the words, and he meant them, every fiber of his body knew they were true. "I am never saying goodbye to you either" Anna assured him. Surely the best way to end this, he couldn't think of anything better. [/div]
