life
Dakota and her twin sister, Baylee, were born to Chloe and Charles Thompson seventeen years ago. Baylee was born first, and Dakota is constantly reminded of the fact. Let’s just say it’s one of Baylee’s favorite things to let Dakota know. Of course, no one would ever guess Dakota was younger based on their personalities. Baylee enjoys to party while Dakota enjoys staying at home reading a great novel. There were many of these in Dakota’s childhood. Her daddy could afford whatever book she wanted. Y’see, Charles came from old money, and Chloe married into it. There was plenty of green to go around. Baylee pined for things that better suit her, and Dakota did the same with her own tastes. Despite their polar opposite personalities, the twins are close.
The twins fought from time to time, but they always made up afterwards. Dakota was the passive twin of the bunch. She’d usually step down before Baylee, which only helped her sister’s ego grow more, in Dakota’s opinion. Their loyalty to each other was put to the test when they were nine. Their uncle took a particular interest in Baylee and ended up raping her. Baylee’s behavior changed after the event. She was more protective over herself and Dakota. Dakota was confused, but she didn’t argue with her. Baylee’s life was hers to live, and she knew her moot opinions would be useless against Baylee’s will. Dakota and Baylee spend their time with different cliques. While Dakota’s in the National Honors Society, joins book clubs, and aces almost every test, Baylee is known for whoring herself around. Regardless of her behavior, Dakota loves her sister.
Outside of that, Dakota is an extremely charitable person. If someone needs help, she’s the first to volunteer. Some of the student body refer to her as a teacher’s pet, and that doesn’t bother her all that much. Her romantic views on love make her vulnerable for heartbreak, but she knows what she wants. A virgin, she’s saving herself for the right man. This doesn’t necessarily mean she’s holding herself for marriage, but she’ll wait for that long if it comes to it. Dakota hopes to achieve great things one day. She wants to go to college and live the American dream. It goes without saying her parents are proud of her. Dakota strives to do well in everything, so she gives them peace of mind when Baylee can’t.
roleplaying sample
Anthony didn't mention his brother often. Most of his friends back in New York didn't know about Tristan's existence. For the longest time, he didn't really. He was dead to Anthony and his parents. Now that his brother was attempting to make it big in the industry, covering his being was a bit difficult. There were constant strings of questions about him now. "Why didn't you ever tell me?" topped the charts. Mikaela was giving him fresh material to answer. It didn't beat out forgetting him as a topic altogether, but it was more refreshing than the usual. He could at least be a bit grateful for that. To her, it might seem as though their career paths were ironic. That's because she didn't know about their pasts. "Not really," he answered nonchalantly. "Tristan and I were in drama during high school. Acting was one of the things we enjoyed together." He scoffed, taking a sip of his beer. "Back then, anyways."
If fate was their reuniting factor, Anthony was convinced originality was completely extinct. If anything, fate could have made their connection a little more entertaining. Tristan could have been the only eligible anonymous organ donor or something along those lines. At least there would be a story behind it. Tony had been in the world of the rich for about three years now. As far as he was concerned, Tristan's appearance in the business was simply his twin's attempt at matching Tony's stride. He always thought Tristan looked up to him. Anthony had the perfect life. His grades were outstanding, and his wealth was increasing in value day by day. If only Tris hadn't whored around, he probably could be sharing Tony's glorious fortunes. He snoozed and lost. Boo hoo. He'd get over it eventually. He'd have to if he expected to stay in Hollywood's eye for much longer. Headlines only lasted for so long, after all. New meat was always being discovered.
Not him, of course. No one recognized managers. People like Mikaela was torn to shreds. Part of him was relieved to find that he'd be protected. It was his clients he had to look out for, but they were fairly well-behaved. "I guess I'm a dead giveaway," she replied. Anthony shrugged, agreeing to an extent. "Looks can be deceiving," he reminded her with a smirk. His beer was already halfway done by now, and his mind was beginning to unwind. As tipsy as he was becoming, Tony was having a difficult time thinking of reasonable answers. The man managed to keep up the thorough work, but it wasn't without effort. Three rounds of shots as well as a beer later, he had every right to be incoherent. The simple fact that he wasn't classified as a miracle in itself. He thought so, anyway. Wasn't that all that mattered? Sure. He wasn’t about to question his self-worth based on a few negative reactions. The only contributor to Tony’s opinion about himself was Tony. Mikaela's opinion might matter for a while, beneath the sheets if anything. "Journalism 101," he answered with a smirk. "Experiencing the action is more effective than hearing about it. Care to do the research?"
