life
barbie grew up here in maryland. she started out as a loner in high school, with only really one true friend by the name of ashton. ashton was a stoner at the time. however, soon, barbie was noticed by some of the cheerleaders and she went to tryouts just for the hell of it. she made the junior varsity team sophomore year, and was seemingly doing fine with the change in attention. she tried to stay close to ashton but it began to be difficult with all of the cheerleaders looking down at him because of his social status. junior year, barbie's parents got a divorce and she began acting out to try and get attention, similar to things many other children would do. however, hers were in the form of attacking others at school. not physically, but she began to become very manipulative and deceitful. she was a master at lying and began to meddle with the head cheerleader. with the help of some other cheerleaders, barbie snuck into the boys locker room while they were at football practice, went through their phones, and discovered nude pictures in many of the boys' phones. only then did a brilliant idea hit barbie. she and the other girls sent all of the pictures of their female, nude classmates to the head cheerleader's phone, saved the pictures, deleted the messages, and turned the phone into lost and found. with the pictures up on the screen. that was enough to get the head cheerleader suspended for a while, and while she returned to school, her reputation did not. she then held the title of lesbian jackoff and settled nicely in the ex-popular clique while barbie took over the role of head varsity cheerleader.

after that, barbie ignored ashton and most of her family. the only two people she was truly close to was her little brother and co-head cheerleader. after that, everything remained about barbie, and she denied any past as a loner, claiming she had been a popular since the start of her years at mancester. senior year, she met and began to date vin owens. up until that point, barbie had been completely against most types of commitment and was well known as an unfaithful girlfriend, but vin was different. skip the cliche nonsense, and barbie thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with him. she had no interest in anyone else for most of that period. near the end of senior year, barbie and vin got in a fight about vin's drinking problem and how he acted around barbie's younger brother when he was drunk. things escalated out of that topic, which led to vin leaving with the car, intoxicated out of his mind. he was arrested for drunk driving and soon after taken to rehab for his alcoholism.

barbie was mortified by the way things had ended, though she didn't want to give up on vin yet. however, she did feel like he was done with her and didn't want anything to do with her. this had been the worst part of barbie's life, in her mind. she lapsed deeper into an addiction with alcohol, and ended up nearly losing her place as head cheerleader (though her cheerleaders adored her, she wasn't at school at all and nearly got suspended for it). during this time, some kind of feelings for an old flame named micah were confusing barbie, and she tried to avoid him and ashton because of the leftover affection she was having for the two of them. it wasn't until ashton approached her out of the blue and ended up kissing her that barbie went a little haywire with her addiction and stopped caring about her life. thankfully, this all happened near the end of senior year and she was able to graduate, but barbie lost her job and ended up doing nothing but sitting at home most of the time, crying or drinking or sleeping. she didn't want anyone's help or anyone in her life.

around that time, micah suddenly showed up at her doorstep and refused to let her have this pity party anymore. he was able to talk her through things a little bit, and after a few weeks of trying to pull herself together, barbie was back to having a job and living her life. micah helped but everything still feels empty to her and she's searching for whatever fire might help her. her and ashton are not on speaking terms, vin hasn't returned from rehab, and things between micah and barbie are at a tense and slightly awkward relationship, though she's grateful for having him in her life. she lives alone in the same apartment her and vin lived together in and plans on going to college in the fall.
