ryan scout kerouac has never been normal. from birth she was deemed completely outright from society. you see, ryan was the first and only child of sixteen year old olivia walters, and was shoveled into an adoption home in the first few hours of birth. ryan, the name she adopted with her newfound home, was shifted from home to home until she finally found a home suitable enough for her when she was sixteen. that of course, couldn't satisfy her, and when she was seventeen, she ran away to find the fairytale she'd always imagined. she soon found, as did most runaways, that the world was full of shit. and so, in an attempt to re-establish her life, ryan moved to a new town, maryland. she renamed herself, ryan scout kerouac, after her favorite author, and enrolled in the university nearby. now, she's in her sophomore year. ryan usually interacts well with the people around her. she's not the type of person to immediately initiate conversation - in fact, she'd rather not talk to anyone at all, if she had her way. ryan is the sort of person who never really connects with people, and always holds them at arms length - making sure they never know what's actually happening. ryan now attends the university, and she's majoring in creative writing. in her spare time she's a waitress at a shitty bar and diner downtown, where she earns a meager wage and gets assaulted more times than she can count. despite all this, ryan firmly believes that life is full of adventure, and that if you look in the right place, you'll find it. she's the sort of girl your parents warn you about, and the sort of girl who will break your heart because she's bored. she smokes consistently and drinks until she's done - and don't even get me started on the drugs. despite all this, ryan gets along well with most people - especially if they have a penis.
