You just need to forget about that bitch." [/style]Theo tilted his head, scrubbing at his face with a sarcastic smile plastered to his features. It wasn't that Theo didn't want to forget about Taisha. It was his idea of venting and letting some frustration out was to throw himself into his novel. Not... go out with a group of guys to a bar and pick up chicks. It just wasn't his style. However, his buddies were not going to let up at all, and if Theo didn't go, then he'd never hear the end of it. Waving a hand dismissively, the man finally nodded, clicking 'save' on his documents and shutting the laptop hesitantly. "Fine. But I can't promise to enjoy myself." he smirked, running a hand through his hair and reaching behind himself to grab his jacket. Nodding slightly, Theo sighed, following his small group of rambunctious friends towards the black van in the apartment parking lot. The group had basically broken down his door when they heard of Taisha phoning him earlier that evening. Theo just did what he normally did when he was angry, or upset. He opened his laptop and began adding more to his novel. Pinching the bridge of his nose, Theo couldn't help but laugh lightly at his friends' childish behavior. Punching each other, shoving each other, fighting over who got what seat in the van. Theo ended up squished between two of his buds in the back of the van, but they had all been so well off all their lives, that it hardly mattered. Listening to the boys hoot, hollar and generally be loud, Theo hadn't had the right mind to listen to what exactly they were saying. The novelist had been expecting to go to a classy bar. His already formal looking attire which he hadn't changed out of after leaving a meeting with a publisher, was exactly what he liked to wear out to a bar. A quiet. Low. Bar. However, as he gazed out the window, watching as they pulled into an unfamiliar parking lot, the man's bright blue-greens widened, and he shook his head quickly. "Oh, no, no, no, no, no! No! You guys are not taking me in there, no!" Not that his friends really cared as they literally dragged him out of the van, and grinned to his constant whimpering as he stumbled behind them. Rush. Theo didn't want to be at a night club! He hadn't been to a night club since he got dragged out to them by... well, ironic. Taisha used to be the one to drag him to night clubs. Hanging his head a bit, his buddies shoved him around a bit, and the man couldn't help but simply shake his head, offer a wavering smile, and run a hand through his hair. He was in his thirties now. He didn't need to be at night clubs. He was a star when he went in college - his dancing was phenomenal, and he always knew how to rile up a crowd, but now? He felt like some old geezer among all these early twenty year olds! Sighing when he wasn't even asked for I.D., the man sidled in among his friends, grumping a bit until they dragged him to the bar. "C'mon, Theo! Y'need a little sweetheart in your life again! You were too hung up on Taisha to look at other chicks!" Theo rubbed at his face again, ordering four Dr.Pepper drop shots, and placing a twenty on the table. A few guys grabbed at the drinks when they arrived, and Theo swatted at their hands, grinning. "Fine. If you lot want me to loosen up, then I'm gonna need a lot more of these babies. These are mine." And the next three that came from his buddies were his as well. Generally intoxicated, the music was finally getting to him. Not that he could understand most of it, but as more requests came in, he was beginning to hear some of his style music. It took him a bit to realize it was his friends requesting songs, and when they all told him that they'd be right back, Theo just leaned back against the bar counter, grinning after them and losing them in the crowd of sweaty dancing mobs. Tilting his head, Theo gulped his last drink, glancing up at the ceiling before hearing one song in particular. Whipping his head to the side, a sloppy grin took his features, and the novelist hopped up from his leaned state. He knew this song. This song was mega popular when he was just ending his college days... and it was mainly thanks to him and his dancing. Turning as he heard a small scuffle, Theo rolled his eyes at his buddies, catching the eye of an attractive girl in their middle. Oh, God. Had they convinced her to dance with him? Rolling his eyes with a deep sigh, they pushed her towards him, and Theo offered his hand with a small smile. Leaning in so she could hear him, Theo turned a bit. "Sorry they dragged you into this... I mean, if you don't want to dance, then just say so. Otherwise... allow me to treat you to drinks after this dance." Leading her to a clearer spot on the dance floor where mobs were kinda confused as to the song that was playing, Theo began working his magic. So, perhaps he had danced this a little often when he was in college... perhaps this was his "jam" and he had never had feelings for a song quite like this one. Pulling her to him, he leaned in, smiling brightly and placing his face near her ear - mainly so they could hear each other, but the dance required some closeness as well. "My name's Theo. It's a pleasure to meet you." he purred. Let the dancing begin. tagged; open. notes; AWESOME, THEO CAN DANCE. song; night by night - chromeo is not only the song playing, but the dance they are dancing.
