Meet Rory’s identical twin brother, played by Ezra Miller of course. He’s seventeen, five and a half minutes older (and he takes that seriously) and a smoker. His hair is usually shorter than his brothers, his voice deeper, and he’s half an inch taller. The boys are mixed race—white, Native and Hispanic—and have status cards. They have a sister who’s two years younger than them and who knows maybe I’ll request her too. They come from an upper middle class family that’s always lived in Maryland. Their father is a psychologist who’s published several books on varying subjects while their mother is a real estate agent who’s struggled until recently. For the most part their lives have been rather average. Their extended families don’t get along at all so any large family affair was always rough but they had pretty normal upbringings. Their parents argued and struggled but everyone’s does and they were never about anything too large. They weren’t all that deprived mind you somewhat sheltered and overprotected. They got to go to Disney World and took a family vacation to Chile once to see their Hispanic heritage. The most trauma they faced was the death of grandparents and the suicide of an uncle, and then pets “finding solace in the wild”. Oh and bullying, there was a lot of bullying.
The twins themselves have always been incredibly close. As close as twins would be without it being misconstrued as creepy. They grew up matching as children and like the typical twins they would swap places. Though swapping places would always be found out the second one or both were forced to talk. Because, see, Rory can’t pronounce his R’s and he has a stutter. He’s always had both and no amount of speech therapy ever helped. For a the longest time BROTHER—since you can choose his name—would try and copy his brother’s speech impediments to make swapping places even more fun and convincible. It worked. They had fun with it. They bonded over being able to trick people and being an adoration for music. They taught each other guitar and Brother took to singing while Rory took to the drums. Brother’s always liked being the center of attention more than Rory, so it worked out.
As children Rory was always shy to talk in public. After the first teasing remark he was scared to speak in front of people he didn’t know out of fear of being teased. Brother became his public voice and grew so used to it that it didn’t matter. But come middle school when the children get crueler and their classes are less likely to be the same Rory had to be on his own. Brother did that he could to stick up for his best friend and twin but there’s only so much a guy can do.
Now, personality wise they wouldn’t be polar opposites but they aren’t exact copies of each other either. They have very similar tastes but different outlooks on things. They often end up buying the same clothes and albums and such but Rory is a pessimist and Brother is an optimist. Rory’s an introvert but Brother is an extrovert. They’re both quirky and awkward and kind of dorky. They’re both hopeless romantics and rather sweet. Brother is just far more confident and much more used to attention than Rory is. They have the same dream: to be in a famous band together. Brother as the front man, of course and Rory on drums where he can be as loud as he wants and needs to be.
You can name him whatever you’d like and feel free to be cruel like I did and make it a name Rory can’t pronounce. It would be hilarious. Wowy. W-w-wowy. He’d be in the same member group and clique as Rory, of course. Both band geeks. They don’t consider anyone else their best friend. They share everything with one another; no secrets. They have very few friends that are only friends with one of the brothers, but they by no means expect you to hang out with them equally. They still swap places sometimes and Brother still talks for Rory without even realizing he’s doing it.
Any other blanks you can fill in. I will love you forever if you make him, because who wouldn’t want two Ezra Miller’s running around? If you need graphics I’d love to make them matching ones. Etc and so forth.
