The first week of school and she was already tallying up the friends. She took a deep breath of the atmosphere, barely getting a scent of the so-called school spirit that people talked about every now and then. So far, she didn't see what was so great about high school. It was like middle school, they just happened to be slightly smarter here. Her peculiar, small lips twisted into the corner as she walked across the empty halls. It was after school and she really had nothing to do but go home and she refused to go there. Her parents were overbearing with the way they presented their adoration for their daughter. And she didn't like being daddy's little girl. She was an only child and sadly the attention couldn't get undivided. Loathing a love from someone else was what Sydney Palmer was best at. She perfected it at home and she perfected it at school. People were idiotic and easily fooled and manipulated. The girl figured it wasn't her fault they could be easily duped. Human beings were full of errors, and their greatest one was their eager mind. They were eager to believe people thought like they did and perceived things as they did. Syd knew better. She frolicked across the halls and despite being the devil-thing she was, people forgot she still was a fifteen-year old girl. So of course she had her childish tendencies. Perhaps, she even forgot sometimes. A skip in every step, her pigtails swayed back and forth. Time to kill, time to kill. She needed a new friend. Someone who could distract her until she was ready to finally go home. Maybe someone of use. Someone who she could befriend for her own personal benefit. Was there really any other type of friend? With her bright, round eyes she spied a guy so big and handsome. Those were the kind who couldn't resist the adorableness that was Syd. They believed anything. Jocks were typically dim and if they weren't then, they were usually kind. Rarely did she ever meet a highly intelligent, nice jock. But she rolled the dice. How to introduce herself, though? She kept skipping along in his direction before she let herself trip over her own leg and bump her body into his. The freshman fell to the ground and let out a fake "ouch" and she barely tapped the floor. Realizing she could make it a tad bit more dramatic, she threw her books out of her arms while on the ground and let them slide and scatter onto the floor around her. Wow! I am so clumsy. Silly me! she rubbed against her knee, I'm really sorry about that! Please don't hurt me! I still have bruises from where the other jocks hit my arm.. She picked herself and let her petite hands dust her skirt off, ignoring the fact that her books were still silently laying on the floor, opened and crumpled at some corners. Even the devil would forgive her with the innocent eyes she disguised herself with. Her hands in each other behind her back, knowing he couldn't see through this facade she had acted out. If she could, she'd give herself a standing ovation or put herself in the drama geeks. Hah. They wish they had her in their clique. | [/style] |
