Danielle Whitney was 16 when she got pregnant. She was one of those classic party girl whores who slept around and got wasted a lot, so she wasn’t exactly sure who could possibly be the father. Needless to say, getting pregnant changed her life a lot, and it forced her to wise up to responsibility. After she told her parents, they kicked her out and she became homeless for a little while, with no money for abortion and still no way to raise a child. She got a job for a few months, but, with a baby on the way, she was in no shape to work. Basically, she had two choices: she could either keep the baby and struggle to raise him alone, without a home, and hardly any money to her name, or, she could give him up for adoption. So, when November rolled around, and Danielle looked like she was about to burst, she decided that giving him up would give him a better chance to a better life. On the 18th of that month, she went into labor early in the morning. She was able to get to a hospital and have her baby there with no complications. It would be the first, and last time she would see her son, whom she named Aric Bradley. Danielle held him for what felt like a second, before he was taken away from her, where he went into the foster care system.
Being a newborn gave him an advantage over other children in the system; he was adorable, untainted, and completely new. He was only without parents for a few weeks before her was united with who would pose as his mother for a long time, Caroline Cipriano, who had been currently living in New York City. Caroline was a beautiful, successful workaholic whose clock had ticked out. No longer able to reproduce naturally, and no one to raise a child of her own with, Caroline turned to the adoption services. She was given Aric, first as a foster child, and then, later, she adopted him fully. He was raised in the lap of luxury and a loving surrogate mother. He was more than spoiled; he had pretty much everything he could ever ask for as a young child. Caroline had made a business here in Maryland from a chain of hotels that started in Ocean City, and became recognized in other tourists spots around America, including Hawaii. So, needless to say, Aric's foster mother was pretty well off. The small family of two stayed in NYC for most of his elementary school years, where he received a top notch education in a private school. He became arrogant as he grew older, using his mother's successful hospitality business as a crutch most of his life.
Although Aric was always a really bright kid, with high grades, lots of extracurricular activities, and popularity, he didn’t really like being a part of The System. He just wanted to be able to live his life the way he wanted to, without having to be tied down. After he graduated, he
