zippy's dad is the ex-husband of b-list actress sandra fox. she was too caught up in trying to catch a glimpse of fame and fortune so she left zippy behind with his hard-working dad. not having a mom around really took a toll on him. he's always screwing about doing things for attention and all he really wants is to be taken care of. he thinks too highly of himself sometimes but most of the time he feels insecure, especially when it comes to girls. his best friends have always been johnny, bennett, and mia. he's been in love with her since first grade but can't bring himself to say anything. especially now that they're in high school. zippy would have been happy being a stoner with his two best buds but he didn't want to lose mia, especially when she quickly became popular. so he joined the football team and he got a job that he thought was cool. he even tried out a few accents but nothing worked. he didn't really fit in with mia's new friends and is still stuck as a wannabe. they're all still pretty good friends but mia is often too busy with her new friends and even though she doesn't mean to she leaves him out a lot.
he has no real plans for the future and is more focused on the past rather than what's to come. he makes friends easily but also tends to annoy people and push them away. he eats too much candy which is bad because sugar makes him go crazy. he's usually the sober one though because he still wants to be popular even though deep down he knows it's not going to happen.
