Frenemies? Since they're on the same cheerleading team, they would definitely have to get over their differences and get along when necessary, but otherwise, I can imagine Hayes picking on her sometimes. She would find it amusing that Velouette tries so hard to fit in and would pick at that insecurity when she's feeling especially mean, and any compliments that she offers would be followed by an additional remark to serve as an ego-boost and then a slap to the face. But then if anyone else tries to pick on Velouette, Hales would probably take her side and defend her.
