Joe Walker and Mya Dashwood have been best friends since they were born, their parents were best friends. When they were born, they used to take walks in their strollers together around the block. When they were two, they were best friends. I mean, Joe knew everything about this girl. He knew her favorite color, her favorite food. Then they became six, his brother made fun of him because it wasn’t cool to have a best friend that was a girl or even know a girl. So for the next seven years he threw dirt at her. Joe likes to call those “the lost years”.
When when they were thirteen, Mya pushed Joe up against his locker and she kissed him. She gave him his first kiss. She taught him how to dance. She always was talking about these crazy things and he never understood a word she said. All he understood was that she was the girl he sat up every night thinking about, and when he was with her, he felt happy to be alive. Like he could do anything. So you could see how everyone thought they were the perfect couple, and how everyone assumed they were going to get married.
They were completely head over heels in love with each other, until their junior year of high school. They fought more often than they had ever in their entire relationship, and even though it was obvious the two of them were still close and in love, they had drifted too far apart and right after their junior year had ended, when their families were having dinner together, their parents had started to talk about their future together and Mya couldn't take it anymore, she broke up with Joe at the table in front of everyone. Honest she hadn't meant to do it right then and there, but she couldn't sit there and listen to her parents map out her future for her without even considering what she wanted first, and it broke her heart to break up with Joe.
After that Joe went to this party and saved Mya's sister Becca's life and both of their emotions were running high, they both started drinking, one thing lead to another and they slept together, the next morning they agreed to never speak about it again and never tell Mya.
Now Joe is still in love with Mya and wants her back, but feels incredibly guilty about what he did. When he see's her with Dominic Knight he will try everything in his power to keep the two away from each other, including helping in the plan to humiliate him. Will he ever convince Mya to get back together with him, or will she find out about him and Becca before he has the chance to tell her himself?

We all know the typical fairy tale. A boy meets a girl and they fall madly in love, and in the end they live happily ever after. Well in high school fairy tales don't really exist. For Mya Dashwood, and Dominic Knight things started off a fairy tale, but then reality set in. Confused? Let me explain. After her break up with her long time love, at the very end of their junior year, Mya needed to clear her head and get away from her father and all things manchester. so she called her older brother and asked if she could stay with him in California for the summer and of course he agreed.
So she headed off and wanted to be normal for once, not privileged, not treated better then everyone, she just needed a bit of normal so she got herself a job at Starbucks, under a false name. Her first day of work hadn't exactly gone as planned and Mya ended up spilling coffee on a very attractive guy, Dominic and apologized more than she needed to, but Dominic was very nice about it and flirted with her before leaving.
From that day on Dominic came into that Starbucks every day at the same time for the next two weeks, ordered, and talked to her. Finally Mya just asked him if he was ever going to just ask her out, he laughed and asked her and for the rest of the summer the two of them were pretty much inseparable. It was a summer fling that Mya would never forget, and the last day she was there she let him have the one thing she never gave her ex the five years they were together, her virginity and the next morning before he woke up she left, got on her flight back home and tried to forget about the guy who had stolen her heart the moment their eyes met. Now Dominic is a military brat, his father was in the Air Force and because of that they moved a lot and was only in California for the summer, before his father was reassigned and his mother sent him and his sister to Manchester Prep.
Now basically what I want to happen now that Dominic is a Manchester and since she is one of the best students in the school top marks and everything, she gets asked to show him and his sister around the school and he finds out that she lied to him about who she was, where she lived, and how much money her parents actually had, (because she's pretty wealthy, she doesn't need her job at Starbucks, but she likes getting to work for herself) and of course he's going to be kind of pissed about it especially when she acts like she doesn't know him in front of her friends. So she slips him a note to meet her in the library so they can talk When they finally got a chance to be alone together Dominic was pissed that she had lied to him, and after arguing, talking, and stuff they sleep together in the Library and then after that Mya explained that they could not be together and even though he wanted her to throw away her social status and just be with him, he couldn't ask her to do that and agreed not to be with her.
Well that turned out to be more difficult than it should have been when Dominic was assigned to be Mya's chemistry partner, seeing as Mya's original partner had been expelled. It was obvious to everyone that the two had amazing chemistry together, but Mya hid her feelings for him well, unfortunately Dominic wasn't as good at hiding his. Once a few of Mya's close friends realized how Dominic felt about her, they decide to play a small prank, not exactly trying to hurt anyone. They figured it's high school, practically required to play pranks on the new kids, besides there was no way that a girl like Mya could like someone like Dominic..right? Of course they were wrong, she was completely in love with boy, but they didn't know that, and neither did Dominic at this point.
After getting close to Dominic, Mya's friends finally got him to confess his feelings for her and her friends acted like they were going to help Dominic in getting the girl he wanted, suggesting to write a song for her, record it and to give it to her the next time they were in chemistry. instead, they stole the song he recorded that was in his locker and played it during the morning announcements over the PA system successfully embarrassing Dominic, and to make matters worse at lunch when Mya had tried to talk to him, they had other ideas and made sure to remind him of his place below them and that he would never get a girl like Mya, mainly to protect her position as queen. In that moment Mya wasn't sure how she was supposed to feel. She was angry, because of what her friends did to Dominic, happy, because the guy of her dreams, an actual sweet guy, still liked her even though he agreed to stay away from her, and somewhat embarrassed. Honestly she knew she should stop her friends from putting him in what they thought was his place beneath them but, she only walked out of the hall to get away from everyone.
Mya soon figures out that walking away was a huge mistake since Dominic tarts avoiding her like the plague and switches partner in Chem. A part of him even starts to think that she was apart of the whole ordeal. will Mya find out a way to talk to Dominic and spill her feelings, or will Dominic move on before she has the chance?
