sean's parents tricked him and his twin brother. they told the boys that they were going to maryland for the summer. what they didn't tell them is that they had fallen in love with a property and had purchased it. not as a summer home, but as a replacement for their house in california. their parents had learned about their constant drug use and wanted to take them into a new environment.
sean hates it here but is willing to make the best of it. his brother on the other hand, isn't so forgiving. sean's been spending this small part of the summer trying to keep his brother from getting into trouble. however, they've managed to find some dealers and older friends who are willing to buy alcohol for them.
this newbie started drinking freshman year to get attention from girls and then got into drugs because of the same reason. his brother has always been a ladies man and he feels like the awkward twin in comparison.
