( TRANSFER INTO ANY GENERATION )
Jaden found himself in the Book Warehouse. He had no idea how he found himself going to there. He had just moved into town a few days ago with his mom and dad. His mother was a nurse and his father was a retired marine and was now working as a personal trainer at the gym. This was the second move for him. Jaden first lived in Florida then moved to New York. Jaden liked and disliked it there in NY. He liked it because he made friends and got comfortable. But what he disliked was the many times he got into trouble because of having to stick up for himself in that jungle he used to call a school. After his last fight his parents decided to up and move and now they were in this town where Jaden would be attending a private school.
Jaden began going through isle ways looking for random books in the comedy area. Jaden didn't usually read on his spare time. Yeah he could read and he was good at it but it just wasn't one of his hobbies. But when he did read it was fun books that he liked to read. There were a couple of books from a guy named Tucker Max. The author wrote comedy books and Jaden enjoyed reading them. He already had two of Tucker's books "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell" and "Assholes Finish First". The next book by him he was looking for was called "Hilary Ensues" but so far Jaden had no luck of finding it. One thing he hated in all book stores and libraries was that he could never find the books he wanted. Yeah they were supposedly alphabetized but for some reason Jaden just couldn't get it and always had trouble finding his book.
After having no luck he eventually gave up and decided to go up to the front desk and ask on of the employees to help him out. Jaden walked out of the comedy section and went up to the front of the store. There was only one person currently waiting on line so Jaden didn't mind waiting behind them. After they purchased their book Jaden came face to face to a young girl with Curly Dark and he smiled leaning forward onto the counter asking "Hey excuse me. I need help finding a book and I was thinking maybe you could help me out? The books called Hilary Ensues. It should have been in the Comedy section but I'm no good at finding these things" The employees of the book stores were perfect at finding the books you needed. It was like they knew the place like the back of their hand. You asked for a book and they didn't even try to to find it, they automatically always knew were it was.

Alani couldn’t lie that sometimes she dreaded going to work. For the most part she loved her job because she was such a book worm, but on days like today where it was gorgeous outside she wished she could be anywhere but here. She had only been working at the place for a month, but she really had picked up the hang of the things quickly. She loved the atmosphere. She loved the fact that she was surrounded by books. She loved even more the aroma of coffee that always seemed to be floating around the store. It made here whole work experience pleasant. What she did not love was what she had to wear. Alani was not a girly girl by any means and before moving to Maryland didn’t even own anything that wasn’t shorts or a tank top. So to come here and not only buy an actual jacket, but a polo, slacks, and black flats for work was weird to her. If only her brothers could see her now. They would probably be laughing their heads off.
The day had been really slow with only a few people visiting the store. For most of her shift she had been reading “The Screwtape Letters” by C.S. Lewis. She loved the author and had always heard the book was good, but never really had time to read it or the money to buy it. So she had stuck the book under the counter and whenever she had down time she would pull it out and continue reading. There actually had been a steady, but slow, flow of customers for the past twenty minutes so the book was stashed away under the counter. It wasn’t like it was a stressful long line either, just slowly one new person would appear as the last person left.
Alani finished helping the last person check out as a boy who looked about her age approached the counter. Alani placed a smile on her face, always having to look happy when working especially in front of customers. ‘Ya I know exactly where that is.’ Alani made her way out from behind the counter and made her way to the comedy section where the book was. Thumbing over the spines of the books she pulled out the book and handed it to the boy with a smile. ‘Have you read the other ones? My brothers keep telling me these books are the best thing since alcohol.’ Alani couldn’t help but laugh thinking about when her brothers read these books. It was probably the only time she saw them all reading. Actually it was probably the only time she saw her brothers quiet. She had never picked up the book, but it just didn’t seem like her type of book. She was more for classic literature like Charles Dickens, Emily Bronte, and Jane Austen. |

( TRANSFER INTO ANY GENERATION )
The young girl flashed him a smile and then told him she indeed knew where it was. Of course she would, cause she worked there. Perhaps if Jaden got a job there he would automatically know where to find things. She put her book aside then got up and headed off to the comedy section. So Jaden followed her. When they got to the comedy section it took her about 5 seconds to find the book. When she pulled the book out of it's spot he sighed, he could've sworn that he passed over that area. AFter getting the book she handed it to him and he took it he thanked her and smiled and she then asked him if he read the others ones. She said her brothers thought tit was the best thing since Alchohol. Jaden chuckled and then shrugged "Umm better than alcohol? Not sure exactly, I mean they're funny and all but I don't drink too often so I couldn't really compare. But yeah I've read the other ones. I like 'em. It's mostly crude humor but... I like it."
He opened the book and flicked through the pages with his finger. He then looked at the girl. She looked like she could've been his age and wondered if she went to the Prep school. He then asked "So I assume you go to High School right? Do you go to Manchester Prep Academy?" If he got to know her a bit now, he would know somebody when going to school. That was if she did indeed go to his school. Getting able to meet students now would definitely help him fit in during the school year.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] WORKING FOR A LIVING The Words: three zero nine The Outfit: click The Notes yay books In Alani’s opinion it was nice seeing someone her own age in the book store. Not only that, but a guy of her own age. Not many of them came into the bookstore looking for books to read for pleasure. Most of the ones she had seen trickle in the past few weeks had just been ones picking up their summer reading book that they had put off until just a few weeks before school started. Alani shrugged with a small laugh at his comment. ‘That’s just what they said. I wouldn’t know.’ Not only had Alani never read the books, but she had never drank so she really couldn’t tell if the comparison was true. ‘Ya it seemed like a total guy book. Probably why I’ve never picked it up.’ As much of a tomboy Alani was, when it came to books her heart belonged to the classics. There was just something about the literature that swept her away like nothing else.
Alani gave a small nod to his question. ‘Ya. I just transferred to Manchester. I moved her from Hawaii a few months ago.’ Alani gave a small shrug at this. She hadn’t really met many people yet, but she figured once the year started she would meet plenty. It wouldn’t be that hard, would it? ‘How about you? Do you go to Manchester?’ She hadn’t seen him at the public high school that she had attended for the first few months that she was in Ocean City so she figured he had to go to Manchester. Most kids seemed to go to Manchester anyways. ‘What year are you going to be?’ She figured she would ask so she could see if she was going to have any classes with the boy. He looked a little older than her so she doubted that he was a sophomore.
