jay and jax, that just sounds too good together. they gotta be friends. she seems like the kind of person that jax would not only be able to tolerate, but someone he would actually really like. he was a little wary about her at first; usually preps don't want to be seen hanging out with stoners. however, he was taken aback by how friendly she was, and he was unable to not grow fond of her ever since they first talked. perhaps they have been friends for awhile; they became friends around the time that jax's girlfriend died, and so as their friendship grew, jax revealed his thoughts to her, which is a big deal for him. he doesn't usually open up to anyone. so he trusts her and she's the kind of person he feels like he can be totally honest with. they're good friends.

oh my, jax dislikes mav with the burning intensity of a thousand suns. okay, well, maybe not THAT much, but jax would enjoy making fun of mav a little too much. jax doesn't want anything to do with any jocks, but he's a fucking jackass, so of couse he would be unable to resist being rude directly to mav's face. jax is also high 99% of the time so who knows what he would end up saying. i think it could be quite interesting. perhaps mav stole a girl from jax during his freshman year, and it wasn't a huge deal but jax just hasn't been able to let go of the grudge, though he would never admit it.

Charlotte is a sweet, bubbly fifteen-year-old girl, who is also a passionate dancer. She’s kind, but very naïve and innocent, so I could imagine her being the type of girl that would be very oblivious. Okay! Here’s an idea! What if Charlotte and Mav dated very briefly when she was a freshman and he was a junior. I could imagine that she probably had liked him for quite a while before she got up the nerve to talk to him, with him being a charmer and all and that she fell for him and his good looks and his charisma. And when they started dated, she had really liked him, before she realized that he was a little detached from her, and that he didn’t like her as much as she liked him.

After seeing him with his best friend, she had come to terms that maybe that they weren’t meant to be together, and that he had feelings for Kota. Charlotte, though hurt, because she had been so infatuated with Mav, promised to keep his secret that he had liked Kota, and that she was one of the only people who knew. So I’m thinking that Charlotte and Mav could still have a slightly awkward relationship, but I think that Charlotte sympathizes for Mav’s denial of his feelings, and that she’s still trying to be friends, despite her hurt feelings that she’s almost gotten over.

Ok I kinda like this idea. Like a lot. Mav doesn't really tell people about his feelings for Kota. I think the only person who knows is his cousin (who has yet to be created!) but I like this idea too. Mav would have been hesitant to date her at first of course because of the age difference. Once they did date he would also be a little detached. I'm sure he would have gotten a lot of flack for dating a freshman. But ya ended up breaking it off and now they are very awkward, but still kinda friends. Like Mav would be there for her if she needed it, but he still is kinda squirmy around her. He would totally try to set her up with someone awesome though and keep her away from the players like himself
